    It is like that only.Its the carburretor drain pipe.There is a screw at the bottom of the carb,its the float chamber drain screw, which can be losened so that all the dirt settled at the bottom of the carb can be drained out.Just put your drain pipe inwards behind the electric starter.

      Eh? Well, I didn't mention anything about tuning or carburetter in my post. Don't know what are you referring to, then.

      About the other question, if your brake oil is upto the mark then why are you worried about it? And, the scribbling sound is because of the dust particles. If the pressure water thingie didn't work for you then ask the SVC guys to remove the pads, rubb them with sand paper and put them back again. Here, the dust particles are not getting washed away with the pressure water, sand paper will surely do

        • Completed 15k mark and got my bike serviced..
          changed engine oil from shell advance fasttrac(mineral) to Shell Advance AX7(SS)..
          noticed change in grunt of the bike as i accelerate more..
          gear shifts are smoother now...

            I have crossed 30k. Now running at 32k+...

            The problems:
            1. Even from the beginning, I had this thud sound when going over pot holes. SVC never fixed it. So took it to an outside trusted mech, who replaced the fork oil and problem vanished.
            2. After installing K&N, depending on the tuning, there were missings at different ranges. When I tuned for high revs, it happened at low revs, and when tuned for low revs, it happened at high revs. Finally fixed this by upjetting . I dont know the jet size, coz the mech modded the stock jet itself.
            3. Brake fade - had this issue whenever I used to return from a long ride. The front brakes were not effective. No amount of bleeding would fix it. Then I had to replace the front disc after an incident in b'lore when I rear-ended a fellow rider and got the disc bend. The brake fade had never happened again with the new disc.
            4. Eccentric sprocket - when I changed the chain and sprocket at 22k, the rear sprocket was eccentric one. Its a manufacturing defect as per my mech, but as I realized this only after some 3k, did not try to get it replaced. The chain slack was varying. at one point it would be tight and at another too loose. Finally fixed it now when I changed the chain and sprocket again (after just 9k). Now running on Rolon chain and sprockets
            5. Ran into engine trouble at 27k when the oil level dropped too low mysteriously during a long ride, and mistaking the symptoms to be tappet noise continued running it. Ruined the cylinder kit and crank. After some tussle with TVS, got them replaced under warranty. My advice - check your oil levels atleast twice a month - if its dropping, either top up or replace.
            6. Currently, i feel that the rear shock absorbers are a bit hard. Havent done anything about it though. Also, i suspect the clutch plates are due for change.
            Otherwise the bike is in fine health.

            Mods:
            1. Full DC electricals - rewound stator coil, APE rr. Bixenon HID with glare cap.
            2. Joels FFE (weight reduction of over 6kg!)
            3. Joels Big Bore kit (190+cc engine now, in run-in)

            Parts replaced:
            1. Headlight reflector set - first HID was low quality and spoiled the reflector surface due to UV radiation.
            2. Crash guard - twice, after crashes
            3. Right RVM - forgot count
            4. indicators - front right and left - after each crash.
            5. Right side foot peg - after second crash.

                  the summer one or monsoon one..
                  summer one is of 379 in delhi and 50 rs labour to change it.
                  it is very long and go above the tyre to protect from mud to go under the seat.
                  and the monsoon one is just the flap which bolt over the stock fender .well dont know about its price but it comes free with bike .

                              Dc conversion came to around 6k for me, though it should not be that costly.

                              not yet checked the 0-60 or top end as i'm in run-in now...
