Getting RTR 180 ABS delivered today!
My wait for a ride with additional safety is over!
Am not sure if I should start a new thread; Since it is basically the same 180 with ABS as additional feature, I guess we can discuss about 180 ABS in this same thread. What say guys?
The dealer informed me that it will be mentioned as TVS Apache RTR 180 in the RC smart card, not as TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS. Do you guys think it would be a problem?Last edited by Zippo; 04-28-2011, 02:34 PM.Comment

hi this is srikrishna..am a college student in chennai doing my 2nd year,, i own a gs 150r and i want to buy a apache rtr abs...
i am around 100 kgs and 5 feet 8 inches tall..will this bike suit me??
what would be the mileage expected if i do the run in properly and do not cross 4 rpm and shift gears softly!Biking is in my Blood!!Comment

Don't expect the gears to be shifted as 'softly' as the GS150.In sane riding,you can get a mileage of around 40-42 kmpl.Originally posted by SriKi.GSpian View Post

Lost 5 teeth
Guys got the chain sprocket changed after 24k kms.
Gone for a trip to hills last weekend and in the trip only loose 5 teeth.
Not talking about myslef talking about the Front sprocket of the bike.
Chain sprocket was making a lot of noise and when got her checked at a mech, surprise surprise 5 teeth gone. It was hard time finding 14T front sprocket but at last got at one of the mech's so back on Road.
Got the chain set changed at TVS SVC but another surprise waiting there, as per them and the TVS(according to part number), RTR 180 chain set they have is of 13T Front and 44T rear as of RTR 160.
And chain too also not "O" ring.
Had no option and changed the chain set.
Damage INR 911 chain set and INR 85 labour.
The bike's speed has gone down by 3 kmph at all the RPMs.
Could other guys confirm from there respective SVC's at there place?
