When you're ready to bombard those shitheads with a complain to the higher level, then why involving a local mechanic in the process? There's no harm if your mechanic just checks it out (not trying anything even if he knows he can do it).

Let the SVC guys get some bashing from the higher officials and get your problems rectified by TVS only. Afterwards, its your choice, whom do you choose to maintain your bike with.

Haven't rode it much after it's been fitted.Didn't get chance to do any hard-cornering test or anything. But on normal riding,I could definitely feel improvements like,in braking(no skids) and the grip on concrete roads now feels planted.Tried to push the bike a bit hard on a corner near home.Seems, there are some interesting times ahead

On my way back picked Shell 10W40 engine oil.Now will top-up the crankcase tomorrow and hit the road to Dehradun on Saturday.
Well, If you're going to go a bit up from Dehradun then you're surely gonna experience some serious n precious cornering moments

Assuming that you're going there as a trip, please click some frames to let me recall some great memories

Anyways, are you in Noida these days or in Chd.?

    • @garry menace- the reason why i want to go to my local mech is that he replaced the TCI unit saying it was kaput(actually it was he showed to me) and i gave my bike for servicing last time to my mech only.

Oh, then my friend, most probably the TVS guys won't please you are not getting your bike serviced by them. I don't think that there's any point to complain TVS high officials in it. I thought the service (in last 5-6 days according to you) was done at the SVC only. You should try cleaning the carb from your mechanic. If its only that what we (I and social) are thinking to be, then it must get resolved by that only. If not, then yours is sadly a serious issue.

        • The TVS mechanic told that my front alloys are bent because of which i'm not able to use the front brake properly, are the alloys available in TVS showroom?
Can i get them fixed outside TVS SC, and i want to replace the TVS tyres with better quality tyres... especially something that is good for rainy and sandy roads
          Suggest me something please

You can go for MRF tyres, but I'm using TVS tyres from long time and they are pretty good in rain.

Under hard braking at 10kmph on wet surfaces it skids , it depends on how we brake , i use front most of the time in rains to avoid fishtailing

Do visit the SC during the warranty period. Else it will be mighty difficult for you to claim warranty...

Not a very good idea to skip services from SC. And most people have okayish experience with SC... These guys play with these bikes the whole day and can usually sort out common problem with tremendous ease...

BTW have your compression pressure checked since you are having acceleration problems.

Lol... it surely avoids fishtailing but when the front one skids non-linearly, it makes sure that you have a fall

MRF makes a hell lot of tyres. You can't suggest just saying MRF. buddy

SVC guys will make alloys available if you ask them to, because most probably alloys won't be in their stock already.

And, about the tyres, you can check options in Zappers, Michelin, Pirelli, IRC etc. I think Shivank can help you better at this moment because he recently had a tyre change. FYI, he chose IRC.

Yep that s also there ,so maintain the bike straightly and brake front to reduce the speed greatly then rear can be used at low speeds

My front breaks are not working properly and the mechanic at the servicing center said that my alloys are slightly bent and i need to get new ones, can you suggest me where i can buy new alloys( i also want to dump the tvs front tyre and get better quality tyre), can you also help me find a good place to modify bike in hyderabad, i want to put angle eye(or the halo ring) to my lamp.

I have heard the term 'joeled' in this bike, i think it means mod done by joel, where can this be done? I would like to know if the bore capacity can be increased to 200+ and other modifications that can be done(kindly help me with the price and place where i can get them done )

                          • Detailed Service Manual

Hallo Friends! I own white coloured Apache RTR 180. I am desparately looking for a detailed service manual / workshop manual which give step by step procedure for disassembly and assembly of every component, along with photographs and narrative diagram. (I have one such manual for Yamaha Gladiator Type SS). The one that I got is not so much detailed and it looks more like detailed specification booklet. Please help. Thank you

                            • Left side switch disassembly

The horn switch has developed some contact problems. I wish to disassemble it. I noticed two screw-heads at the bottom. Unscrewed the corner one, the switch gear didn't came out. As I tried to unscrew the other one, I noticed that it is spring loaded, got scared and screwed it back.
I need to clean the contacts of the horn switch. Please guide me? Thank you.

Dehradun is my hometown.I take my bike there only if the visit is scheduled to be quite long like, more than 10-14 days. Now,we have a full 2 months vacation.I have explored almost every places in and around Dehradun.Last year,I used to ride to Mussorie almost each and every day.But the best stretch is from Mussorie-Dhanaulti-Chamba..Have been there twice now, just loved the place..

                                Anyway,I am in Noida now.

I had been searching for the 'perfect' rear tire for my bike all over the net and dealers. There are only three tires which come in the same 110/80-17 spec in our country-MRF Zapper-C;IRC NR48 and the Pirelli MT-75.

Zapper C,I have heard from a few guys that Zapper C ain't that good like the S..Grip on concrete was a bit of an issue with a friend who rides the Dazzler. So,I ruled it out.

Pirelli MT-75.As per the brochure it should be available at any of the Pirelli dealers around.Trouble is it isn't! I had checked with a Pirelli dealer here and he says,110-spec tire is not available. He offered me the 100-spec rubber.I called the sales head Mr.Sharma to know if the desired tire is available. He asked me to wait for around 7-10 days and he'll make arrangements. So,if you can wait go for the Pirelli.

IRC-Can't say if it will turn the RTR into a racetrack screamer or not but, there are improvements any noob can feel.Braking has improved,no skidding at all.Bike sticks to the corners and wants to be pushed hard.I mean, there's so much feedback from the rear. It's just been a day with the new IRC,so need time to comment further on it.
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!
