      shake or vibes?

I guess you're showing the bike to a wrong person, whats the problem with the SVC? You're gonna ruin your chances of suing SVC.

Changing the tyre wont lessen the vibrations! And by 'shaking' I guess you are reffering to 'vibrations'.Check the cone set,if its loose, tight it and tight all the fasteners as well. Most mechanics will say the same thing'Dont adjust the tappets or it will bring down the performance'.Get the tappets adjusted only with the feeler guage and not just by judging the engine note.Valve tappet clearance is 0.08(inlet valve) & 0.1(exhaust valve).Overtightening the valves to minimise the noise will rob the performance.
To minimise vibrations from handlebar,I am thinking of inserting tube rubber inside the clamp which shows the RTR emblem. Not sure whether it will work or not. And,I experience a lot of vibrations from the left foot peg, while its the opposite for the right f.peg,no vibrations!I had removed the saree guard,is this the reason why its vibrating on only left side?Any pointers?
And,what are the allen bolts on the panel beside the crankcase on which the foot pegs are placed meant for?Can we adjust the panels,I mean can we change the foot rest setting?Cause the manual says footpegs are adjustable!

If you can get hold of pirelli, put them on, however this would cost you close to 2.5K not sure of the exact price at your place.
Dude! where to get the Pirelli's in Bangalore which you have mentioned?

Like I said, check the cone set.How many kms you had clocked uptill now?It is recommended that tappets should be adjusted only after some 3.5-4k kms!

Paint fading from the kick lever is common.I had seen some paint fading on the grab rails too on my bike.Cant say poor paint job,as these are the places where we touch every now and then,so the paint fades bcoz of that!

Any jugaad to lessen the vibes of rear footpegs? I don't have problem from vibes experienced by rider, i.e., me (till the extent they are now ) but don't want the pillion to feel the vibes. My bike's rear footpegs vibrate so badly when I ride 80+ They start vibrating from 50-60 but beyond 80 they become somehow unbearable

EDIT: Others also, please don't hesitate to help

I never faced any problem related to the removal of the saree guard, there is a rubber bush kinda thing which is there(extra) and is bolted with the saree guard near the footpeg,I kept it there after removing the saree guard i guess you should get it fixed there i guess!

                            • Need help!

I've been following this thread for a while and this is my first post. I own a month old Apache RTR 180 and i need some help. It has clocked 1450kms and i felt like getting checked the tappet clearance and a/f ratio. But the SVC guys were too against checking them. How should i ask them and is it harmful to do them so early? P.S. My bike vibrates a lot past 7k rpm and it feels like the whole engine is shaking at 10k rpm and i drive it mostly harsh.

If you ride like there's no tomorrow, there won't be.

All normal stuff for an A180. Right from the tappet, to the indifferent SVC guys, to the vibs!!!

Oh, get your a/f ratio checked though! How did you deduce that is one of the issues??

Would advise you not to ride to harsh though!! In the long run, you will miss out on the joy of riding a RTR, if you burn her out too quick! Not that I don't rip her around, but I usually am trying to find how she responds and then ease off!! Personally, I know I will miss her grunt on acceleration, if she is at the workshop!

Just my personal opinion when it come to the way you described you ride your baby!!
