I mean, just thinking about this fact would give goosebumps, especially if you're lucky enough to own a ride from such a manufacturer. Kudos to TVS!
Fiero came with a rev-limiter,but TVS used the race track as the place for R&D.So they knew very well what this engine is capable of.Then they gave us the RTR's which didn't have the rev-limiters.This pretty much is summed up very well by the " Racing DNA unleashed " slogan.

I am no pro, bro i am just a guy like you who loves his bike and who's interested in modifications.I learn't these things about fiero/RTR's from Xbhp and mostly by picking the head of Mr Murthy of ZEN TVS.

Thanks for the infoBtw should i change the engine oil now or wait till the second service(800kms to go for the service)
And today i was ripping my bike along with a pillion and as soon as i hit 105km/hr,i had to switch the fuel knob to reserve. Then i tried to take it further, but ran out of road.Eventually i managed only 105km/hr.
P.S-I had twisted the throttle to the fullest at one go.Is because of this it didn't go further

No ,wait for the service to get the oil changed. It takes getting used to, to get the best out of your bike.Take it easy till the second service is done.Once the engine's run-in is over it will free up and rev easily to hit the max speeds.

Bud, kindly get your bike to the SVC and get it cleaned and tuned perfectly, if the job's actually needed. It's a tricky DIY as far as i know

                      • @gixxer junkie and RTR lover- i took my bike upto 12K RPM in the first and second gear but i had to replace the bore and cranshaft under warraty because of this stunt! but that was just after the bike had done 1000 kms.

this was bound to happen right?? when is the ideal time to push the bike to the max??? after this i have taken the bike upto 11K RPM when the bike was about 6k old no problems...can i now push it till 12K??

gixxer_junkie_m could guide you on your query well enough

IMO,you can push the bike to 12k alright since you've crossed say 6000 kms, and it would rev no problem, but i would suggest to stick to 10k max (avoid 1st, 2nd gear while doing this, unless you are a drag racer ) just to be safe. After all, I've heard TVS did not include a rev limiter because they've got plans for a performance kit for the 180 (pls dont ask me when, but i'am waiting for it!!!). That kit would significantly unleash the power beyond the red line. Plus, if you are a regular red liner then Motul 300V FL 10W40 would be the choice.

Sadly the ABS version comes with a rev-limiter. The one on mine kicks in at ~11K. Can any other ABS owners confirm this on their steed?
