Since you're from bangalore, why don't you take your bike to ZEN TVS.Mr Murthy is a genuine technical person and they prepare Race and Rally bikes. So if you go there,i think you can find out whether it's something which you should be worried about or not.Originally posted by pranav_salieri View Post@garry-what else could it be????Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

That thread is technical because of mostly decade old performers, needing retro fitting of RTR partsOriginally posted by Garry_Menace View PostWell, thats the outcome of your posts in the Fiero thread which I used to read 2-3 months ago

Then again, there the discussion sometimes gets blurred as to whether we're discussing technical aspects of girls or bikes
.I'm sure you've read those too!

Hi guys, after riding for 70kms at a stretch today,i noticed that the engine was heating(not overheating though)and somewhat feels rough as well
I had changed engine oil at 180kms and 620kms during the first service(Elf Moto4 Gold Mineral).
Should i change the engine oil or wait till the 2nd service is due at 2500kms?And should i stick to Elf or any other oil

Engine's still new,so these things will happen.Wait till the second service for the oil change and then go for either Motul 3000 4T plus 20W40 ,or the Gulf pride 20W40.Better stick to W40 grade only and do not go for the W30 ones.Originally posted by Krish1417 View PostHi guys, after riding for 70kms at a stretch today,i noticed that the engine was heating(not overheating though)and somewhat feels rough as well:(

BTW, is it you riding the gixxer on your avatar? No, ain't kidding
And why is the Beemer your dream bike and not a gixxer
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

i wish it was though!
Well,as you know ,beemer has the shortest stroke and the biggest bores among I4's.I found out what 8.5mm increase in bore does to an engine
Hence since then the love for bikes with bigger bores and shortest strokes.

Good one

True stuff there.
But that beemer's riding position is not easy to live with though
Hope you'll own an I4 one day

If you see my bike,it has a std bullet's handle put USD,that is with custom made/crude/cheap steel rear-sets,the riding position is pretty much radical(in indian bike terms).TVS does know what to do with engine design though and RTR's are the indian equivalents of the beemer.

absolutely love to see your bike. So you are used to such extreme riding geometry... Glad that i own the over square screamer like all in this thread. And yeah, RTR's evolved from the Suzuki Fiero
and hence super reliable too

+1 to that. I mean, how many are confident enough in the ruggedness of the engine,to not to put any rev-limiter at all? That itself shows their confidence in the engine's engineering and it's capability to take serious modifications.Originally posted by Rtrlover83 View Post

I mean, just thinking about this fact would give goosebumps, especially if you're lucky enough to own a ride from such a manufacturer. Kudos to TVS!The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.
