Laal tel??!!! I hope it's not the infamous "lall ghoda " engine oil used in diesel engines that too tractors! I've used this once when the engine was drinking oil due to a worn out oil seal. Tell him that,if you put that thing then the "Racing DNA" wala ghoda will become a tange ka ghoda!! jokes apart. I guess the TVS oil also comes in red color which is famous with recycled oils.
LOL Well, they don't use TVS oil themselves They use Agip but that too the "dus-tees" grade.

And you know once I told him that I want to change the engine oil brand, he told me that you'll switch to castrol because their tv commecials are good, right? I said, No I want to go for Motul. His reply: "Bhaiya mei nahi bolunga ki aap engine oil ke baare mein kuchh jante ho ya nahi, lekin aise local aur sadak pe bikne waale tel to log apni silaayi machine mein bhi nahi daalte" That bugger who was thinking himself as a genius doesn't even heard Motul So, I decided that there's point banging my head in a wall and got the engine oil changed to Shell from a local mechanic for just 20 Rs. labour

I didnt have any issues with SVC , they were ok with any oil and they suggested Castrol power 1 in first service itself even before myself asking for change. Btw whats your feedback on shell ? After using it , its sort of weird for first 100km s gear shifts werent that good as power 1 but after that at some point of time it felt okay.

Are you telling your own experience or talking about mine? Because I posted the same thing here some time ago

To add to it, initially I felt the engine over-smoothened. I mean, not that it makes the engine utterly smoother and do some miracle, but I said that in the sense that I felt that the engine braking was decreased somehow. Don't know if it was my own feeling only but I really felt that for those "weird" 100 kms. After that, overall its good. The gearshifts have now become notchy from somedays but only if not shifted in correct RPM band. But I am happy with this oil as previously I've always got 10w30 oils.

Same here , if i didnt shift at correct RPMs its hard to shift gears. after 2k kms its still good enough but power 1 was starting to show signs of burnt oil any how will change soon will try shell again

Okay, even I'm thinking of using the SS the next time. But still skeptical of that coz I can't ask the SVC guys NOT to change the engine oil even for this time LOL

+1. Though to the bold part only

Hehe, anyways, jokes apart. Abhishek, maybe you're experiencing good things with Tru4 and its good for you and us But bro, while on longish rides at high speeds, the oil behaves like water. The engine gets heated up very soon on highways, even on ring road

Thanks bro for the input, surely will go to the SVC and get it checked ASAP

                          • Joel's exhaust on RTR 180

Its almost a 6 months old video.
In this video I had kept the rpm max to 5k, above that it starts beating your ear drums.
While on the move it sounds much better. It sounds like a helicopter from a distance on highway.
