Thats cool, and anyways better as going for a bigger carb would'nt be much effective as the ports would still be for 100cc.

Now only mechanic said that he will get a 10k run Super Splendor kit(bore, head) for Rs. 500!
For Labour, he charges Rs. 200.
        Is that a correct cost?
And the 10k kit is a softly ran one. Used by a mature rider.
I would upgrade to GS150R jets.

Is there any difference between CD100''s and Splendor's Cylinder kit?
Can I notice any difference by putting a CD100 kit on my Splendor?

(cough cough) Sibun Ji, where are you?

          1. Lets take you are riding at 2nd gear. Touch the gear lever to shift to 3rd but do not apply pressure.
          2. As your engines catches speed, quickly close the throttle and apply slight pressure.
          3. your gear will shift.
But take caution not to shift while giving accelerator and also never downshift without clutch. Also while shifting clutch less apply less pressure on gear lever than while doing with clutch. For your surprise clutch less shifting will feel more smoother than clutch shifting if done right.
Yes, I did that and learnt on my own when my mad monkey in me played the gearbox and the throttle!!!!!
You can also down-shift without clutch.
If you are going 30 in 3rd gear, leave the throttle and quickly give and leave the throttle, in the gap of giving and leaving throttle, .downshift suddenly, It would feel smooth.
Yes, really up-shifting without clutch is smoother than by up-shifting with clutch engaged.

How compression ratio and Power figures bumped up?
I observed Bore x Stroke measure and CC are same, then how?
Also, the engine delivers that more power approx. 500-1000 rpm higher than other splendors.

Found this loose this evening, Apparently its might be the Carburetor air Vent hose. It goes to a hole behind the carburetor towards the air filter housing. I just put it back in the hole does it need any further attention !! Whats its function ?

Can I go for 49T Rear Sprocket? How much kms of mileage I may get lost by going for a 49T at rear?
Mr. Sibun told me that old Splendors have 45T at rear.
FYI, 49T sprocket is from a Rajdoot, not sure whether its from RD 175 or RD 350. Will check with my Mechanic and then tell.

                      I tested Acetone!

Tried it on my Splendor and God! Power Improved Noticeably!
Have you ever saw burnouts on a Splendor? Done that after adding Acetone!
Exhaust note has improved (I mean, exhaust note became crispier and sharper)!
So Yeah, Acetone does wonders. I would recommend it!

After engine overhaul of the CD100 two major issue still needed to be addressed

                        1. Carburetor overflow : It happens when ever one ride the bike and park it without tuning fuel knob to off position. fuel starts to sip out from the overflow pipe. it happens randomly within 3 to 5 min. Does not overflow when the engine is running. So fuel knob need to be off every time you turn off the ignition. They changed the float valve and still it overflows.. what can be reason !! faulty float or blocked nozzle ?

Issue 2 : Engine oil leaking from underbelly, couldn't pinpoint which bolt is the culprit ?

Its the pressure equalizing pipe. When we gas the throttle or when we decelerate then this pipe equalizes the pressure in carburettor to atmospheric air.

It is left open to atmosphere.

What will you do with 49T sprocket. With the low end torque that this engine produces it will pull wheelie even on idle.

My Joy has 42T sprocket and when i thought of 43 T from splendor my mechanic, refused saying that with 43 T your bikes first gear will make it difficult to to keep front wheel on ground.
@hondacbf has ridden my Joy and he can say that even with 42T , my Joy pulls too hard in first and second gears.

And take care of using acetone. Keep quantity very small.

Change the Float. It would have been worn where it is contacting the float pin.

As for engine oil, check that it is not from chain.

And who said splendor cannot do stunts.

The most difficult is rolling wheelie. Check these stunts on splendor:-

PS:- The person in the videos are super idiots. Do not try to imitate them. Even if you do stunts do it with all gears and protective gears.

It is opposite of bigger rear sprocket.
Decreasing one teeth of front sprocket is equal to increasing three of rear.

Increasing one of front is equal to decreasing three of rear.
