Don't think bowl is leaking from the O-ring. but it may need a change

Thanks for your valuable reply - Thanks for posting picture.

If you can please let me know,

      1. Do I need to go to RTO now or the next year before Registration expiry which is 19/06/2016 ?
      2. Where to get the pollution certificate as posted in the second picture ? I have regular PUC (Pollution Under Control) Certificate from regular shop...Is it applicable ?
      3. If I approach RTO now at 2015, My renewal period will start from now or the next year when my Reg. Plate actually expire.....Please let me know when to go to RTO ?
      4. At 400/- I got all 4 Documents from RTO ? Right ?

      5. What else I need keep in check before appear in front of an RTO official ?

      Help....

Fuel level in the float bowl should not have increased because of float if it's OE , because the level-setting tab is fixed from factory and I guess is same for all these carbs . Then check if there is some bit of dirt etc stuck on the valve seat , i.e where the tiny black rubber point of that float pin seats to seal . Clean it - blast that hole with carb cleaner and then clean with a small cotton earbud (or similar) repeatedly . Any dirt , rust particle , corrision there shall not let that valve pin seat tight on the hole - and thereby cause the carb to overflow . Also check if the carb drain screw is ok . take it out and check if the tiny rubber o-ring on it is okay . Replace it if suspected . Check if the new float is moving up-down freely by finger touch when carb is in upright position , or if there is any fuel inside it (unlikely) .
Bowl o-ring is frightfully expensive from what I hear , so that last .
Fuel mix is fine by the plug colour .

As far as i know you should go after it expires

PUC can be obtained from gov authorized PUC center, Usually they stationed in a instrument/computerized Vehicle : You can ask at RTO for PUC center, They charge 50 odd Rs and 10 mins work

They will renew after it expires, so no need to go right now

Actually they will keep all these document after RTO signs it and give you a RC card after few days. I have some bank clearance left so i have these docs.

          Nothing in special

You can do it through a agent who will charge 1000+ Rs or you could spend ~300 and a day+ to get yourself renewed at the RTO office personally and say hi to few gov officials who keeps dozing in their chair

Thank You. Let them open the Carb tomorrow I will report back but the mechs are reluctant to give this aging vehicle a proper look : Sad

            Update:
Left the gearing thing and replaced an essential part, Spark Plug!
I went for MICO Bosch Plug.
Searched for Champion but out of stock in all spare parts shop near my residence.
I felt a decrease in power and torque after putting MICO plug.

Long time hadn't posted in this thread. It is because the bike is showing no problems at all and is running perfectly.

Prior to last sunday had crossed 100 kph on newly constructed flyover.

This saturday thinking of giving it a full and proper service to make the bike once again tight.

The list of works to do:-
              1. Change the front shocks oil seal and oil. Been leaking slowly from past 2 months.

              2. Grease the front wheel bearings. The rotation is not smooth as before.

              3. Change the engine oil to veedol super swift. Last time had used Hero oil and has run for more than 2k kms.

              4. There has been slight leakage of oil from engine head, will clean that and change packing and o-rings to arrest the leakage.

              5. Clean air filter and carburettor.

              6. Change the EGR valve as it is faulty since 4 years. Now problem of back fire and silencer getting carbon due to fuel getting injected by faulty EGR.

              7. Change the Rear shock bush and also check the suspension for any play.

              8. Clean the bike thoroughly and wash it and wax.

This thing is just running and running. The Invincible.

What reading does the spark plug tell? This plug is 5,000 kms old. By the way, bike has completed 25,000 kms and will be serviced next week.

                      Nice find pinaki ji.

You are embarrassing me by saying a rare find. But may be you must have felt happy to see a Joy which you have seen only in this forum.

Now a days every bikes and car will become rare as people have a mind which doesn't stay on particular thing. Moreover this advertisements, and new products entice people to spend even if they need not need to spend.
Now a days even marriage lasts lesser than people previously using bikes.

My Joy, i feel and still feel the quality is much better than most expensive bikes in todays market.

Yes , dear brother . This is the first time I've seen the Joy in flesh here and it instantly reminded me of your bike - so instantly I clicked a few pics on my mobile .

Last week , I build this tool-board for all the bike tools I have . Other than these I have a good foot-pump . Still need a 30/32 ring spanner for the steering bolt and 3 tyre levers . What else ?

It made me wonder - this is the OE toolkit that came with my 2010 Splendor+ .... So what are the roadside repairs possible with it ? Should I be adding something to it ? What do you all say ..

You can added small plier, knife and your L shape handle with changeable goti's.

I can see a tool on left hand side of magnet holder. What is that & used for? Wish to see closer pic.

left one is a magnet puller - to remove the magneto rotor , it has fine left-hand threads on outside , protected with a yellow plastic band for storage . Right side is a bearing puller - it needs some modifications yet for wheel-bearing remover . It has a split bolt , which you insert through the bearing and then insert a metal strip in the split . This expands the collar at the tip and grabs the bearing . Then you just undo the bolt slowly and the bearing is pulled out with it . Atleast that's the theory for this "blind-hole" type puller - am yet to use it .
