I found It's laborious to wax and soon gave up . For regular use I'm now sticking to Waxpol liquid silicone polish , it's very easy to apply and buff off . It works equally well on painted metal , plastic , chrome or glass (rvm) , i.e very convenient . Downside is you've to do it every fortnight to keep shining , which I don't because I don't want to wet my bike so often - water wetting often is no good ( loss of lubrication on exposed moving parts ), so I do this maybe once month or longer . You can try it , use after a wash & dry - the polish is excellent and the Hero service here uses this too .

Guys, I know of a brand called blue diamond liquid polish which is imported by a distributor and is manufactured in Birmingham, it's available for 110INR a bottle sachet, and contains carnauba wax which is both good for metal surfaces and helps work out a brilliant shine, it's labeled as car polish but can be used on bikes too. I have tried this on my zmr and RX and it gives a rich polished look. Try this, but not sure if it's available in your state. I'll try posting a pic of it soon.

Sure it doesn't contain abrasives ? because outside of India when they say "polish" it means it does . So it shall magically remove micro-swirls and minor scratches etc since it does remove a small layer of paint

Sir ji, I used motomax liquid polish once and did not use it after you guys told that it contains abrasives.

At present, I'm using formula 1 car wax and it does the job very well. Bike gets that glossy look

                          3200 KMS done today.
5th service and 3200 kms only.

My bikes never needed days for servicing. I don't remember my joys servicing as i was kid then.

But during extreme when i was doing free servicing, only one mechanic was allowed to do the servicing, none else was allowed to touch the bike.
He was really surprised to see me as every 15-20 days i would be there for servicing, at most 30 days. He was surprised and he would see the kilometers and then will believe. Jeswin and shoeb knows how much my bikes run.

Actually I live in an apartment and doing some mechanic stuff at the parking area is kinda awkward because every ongoing person looks at me as if I have done some crime lolzzz . These people dosnt even clean their spark plug by themselves. They religiously go to the mechanic to get their brake tightened. SO I cant do any mechanical stuff at the parking of my apartment. I have to always contact one of my friend and if he is available on sunday then I do some stuff at his place. So I have to wait for the sundays to do all the DIY.
Sibun Sir ....... I inspected the spark (holding the ignition wire close to spark plug) and it appears to be Bluish in color.
It does not get thinner or thicker when on idle or reved hard. Its thickness remains the same.
The spark breaks if i increase the distance more then 2 inches. It does not keep upto 4-5 inches.
And the spark does not appear deep blue.

I dont have same level of expertise or experience so there is a possibility that I am not able to read the spark as you would do.
I have opened the Ignition Coil and checked its resistance and it reads 7.39 KOhms. My OE Plug caps reading is below 5 Kohms.
Sibun Sir kindly let me know what is the reading of your Ignition Coil. That way it will be clear if the Ignition Coil is weak or the magnet coil needs replacement. According to some articles that i read on internet the Ignition Coil which reads below 10 Kohms is not a bad coil. Sibun sir kindly give me some base line specification so that we can narrow down to part which is bad.

Lately one fine day..... I got very bad mileage while visiting an Architect 30Kms from my place. Came back and the very next morning checked the Air screw and I was surprised to see that it is almost screwed in (running super rich). But previously I kept it on leaner setting to minimize the carbon deposit but how does it gone to richer side. Sibun sir is there a possibility that the screw or the spring is bad and the bikes vibration is causing the Air screw settings change.
In the mean time I have visited multiple SVC twice and asked them for Air screw O-Ring but they replied we dont have it because nobody comes to buy these small stuff. So after some buttering and requesting one SVC guy made some phone calls and then gave me the confirmation to collect it after few days as they have it in their godown.
Without the O-Ring i havnt opened the carburetor yet. Will clean the carburetor as soon as I get the O-Ring. Till than kindly guide me with the inspection of the Ignition Coil and the Magnet Coil. Can we examine the magnet coil also ????? Changing parts without thoroughly inspecting it is not a good idea i think because that is what the mechanics do, keep changing parts with the customers money untill the problem gets solved.
Sibun sir , Pinaki Sir, Dude creative, Jeswin , Shoeb and to all the senior members thanks a lot to you guys who are helping so many people.

Sibun sir the bold part is just the gratitude and respect from my side so guys please dont think the other way its just Bhai Bhai thing nothing else.
Forgot to tell you Sibun Sir, around 5 years back i use to work at Bhubaneswar (CRP Square, Nayapalli, Near passport office). And I have visited Puri also, Lovely place with lots of greenery.
Then your problem is in charging coil in magnet. Your voltage is correct and so is the ignition coil. Your bike is giving less current to spark plug. Change that charging coil and your current problem will go.

And regarding that o-ring, then company has stopped supply of o-ring since long ago. But you need to change the whole air screw set as the air screw also wear out with time.

The part number is :- 16016-KST-901.

                          Get this one.

Nice well maintained bike. But the running is less, too less.

As for the visor get it painted to the original paint. A man is known by how he keeps his bikes.

Nice to see you are also having the original manual of bike.

As for the figures mentioned then there are some changes to new splendor after Y2K.

In y2k the weight increased to 107 kg from 100 kg of yours.

Fuel tank capacity was increased to 12.4 litres.

Of course silencer was longer with more baffles, but cat con was not added.

If you see your recommended spark plug was not resistor type.

                          Power was 7.2 ps @ 8500 rpm.

My joy was increased to 7.8 ps@ 8000 rpm and splendor y2k to 7.5 ps @ 8000 rpm.

And that final reduction is 45/14. Not 3.00 as printed.

And do not ever sell this bike. If time comes sell your yuga but not this one. These bikes are just awesome.

And sir you are more seen in this group than honda group. I am not pointing but asking. Please do not mind. As i like when people come and engage in technical discussion.
Also i am liking as this thread is slowly getting back to its prime.

And regarding polish i rarely use polish.

For cleaning paint i once in a while use 3M finishing compound which is a 10000 grit polishing agent.
Then i use 3M liquid wax to bring that finish on paint.
Then i seal it using Optimum car paint sealant. It is a polymer which seals the paint surface.

Also I drive it less so always days come first than kms.

Yes bro, we run this bike never on highways, so running is very less.. my dad always prefered bus for long travel. Still it is not perfect clean like your Hero honda Joy.
Later I figured and got the grey visor.

This thread is like the master of Hero/Honda bikes. Since this 100cc engine exists for more than 20 years, this thread can go virtually unlimited. All recent honda bikes are derivations of this Cub engine with minor improvements.. so DIY procedures more or less look same.
Even if I sell this bike, I may get only 15k max which is a loss . Still no signs of smoke though it is pre Y2K bike. Insurance is also got with difficulty for this bike because of pollution norms i think..

Damn, polishes/wax online are so costly x_X.

                                50-80 Rs shipping charges.

Will buy a good polish/wax from a local store soon.
