Hey guys, I'm posting on behalf of a buddy who owns a 2013 TBird 350, He's keen on making a few performance modifications one of which includes changing his exhaust. So I'm looking for suggestions for a good free-flowing exhaust. And he's come across Gold Star Silencers, any idea whether they're any good?

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Goldstar pipes are quite good.. I was also looking for one for a while, but apparently there are some issues involved around changing the exhaust on Tue 2013 tb 350... I have seen lot of people complain about engine problems after changing the exhaust.. And they have switched back to stock.. That's got me on second thoughts about making that mod...Originally posted by Akash_Kiran _ Balram View PostHey guys, I'm posting on behalf of a buddy who owns a 2013 TBird 350, He's keen on making a few performance modifications one of which includes changing his exhaust. Reserve capacity is around 5 ltrs and tyre pressure is 22-25 depending solo or pillion in front and 32-35 in rear tyre. I am sure its there in owner's manualOriginally posted by sudiptosrkr View PostReally don't understand what RE is doing. Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Hi Akash, Goldies would improve the thump for sure, though its gonna hit the average. Sans inc and Shakil from Pune have customised the Goldie as per the new thunderbird. There is no need of upjetting as well. Go for it. Fellow Xbhpians on this forum have done this already. You can check Youtube also to hear the exhaust and then take decision.Originally posted by Akash_Kiran _ Balram View PostHey guys, I'm posting on behalf of a buddy who owns a 2013 TBird 350, He's keen on making a few performance modifications one of which includes changing his exhaust. Is it good idea to have Antirust coating done on the spokes and chrome parts? whats ur views. Appreciate if fellow xbhpians can share their views

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Booked a TB 350 stone color today from RE brand showroom. Didn't like the fact that I would need to make full payment 10 days before delivery(as soon as the bike is loaded from their Chennai factory) and they would get the temporary registrations/insurance done before the bike arrives at the showroom leaving me with no choice if any issue is detected with the bike before delivery.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
That is the case if you book it from RE brand showroom as the company stores have to deposit registration amount to the RTO by a bank transfer after invoicing the bike. But you can definitely check the bike before registration, ensure you tell them that you wpuld like to check it and they will do it. Temporary registration and transit insurance can be cancelled.Originally posted by Tron05 View PostBooked a TB 350 stone color today from RE brand showroom. Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
I had detected that the front fork was damaged during delivery.. They readily replaced it during my first service last week..Originally posted by Parimal Maheshwari View PostThat is the case if you book it from RE brand showroom as the company stores have to deposit registration amount to the RTO by a bank transfer after invoicing the bike. Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
This is on behalf of a friend of mine....
"I've a TBTS 350 2013 make. Firstly which k&n air filter would be best suited for my bike, the r1100 or r1060? And what dimensions should I rejet my main and pilot jet to? I'm also planning on switching to iridium plugs.
With all these mods can I find a considerable increase in performance with my stock exhaust or I've got to change to a free flowing exhaust?"

Naah, I am happy with the stock. I don't dig the loud thump, noise gets to me on a long ride and you know I like to ride long.Originally posted by globe2ride View PostGreat going brother!! You plan to change the exhaust?

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Well the experience have been great with few minor niggles, the biggest being minor oil leak from inner oil seal which was rectified by the ASC. The T-cone set has to be tightened in regular intervals of around 1000 - 1500 kms as it tends to get loose due to the bad roads (read pot holes and unusual speed breakers) and noise comes every time to go through pot holes or speed breakers.Originally posted by Enfielder View PostCongrats Parimal, Happy Thumping. Hows the experience? Do write it as well.
