    CBZ World Cup Edition
    June 1999
    1.75 L kms
    Engine Overhauled on 1.7L kms
    42-45kmpl! (I shift mostly at 5-6k+ rpms)
Worst mileage - 35 kmpl (during run-in phase)
Top speed achieved 117 kmph (on Greater Noida Expressway)
    Low on maintenance.
    100% Stock.
Serviced at Hero Honda Showroom regularly.

    Problems:
    Vibes at 5k rpm.
    Weak headlight.

    Strengths:
Still gives other bikes a run for their money. Redlining nirvana in its price range.
    Indestructible engine. (1.75 L kms!)
It was THE CBZ (unlike CBZ star, extreme etc.)
Still has the original wide mouthed silencer.

    Please help:
I plan to install the following:
    K&N (Model no.?, price?)
    Iridium plug (Model no.? price?)
    Alloys (Please suggest)
Any other performance mod (plz suggest)

And yes, I will be going to buy the ZMR.
My honest opinion, please keep it stock,as the earlier cbzs were the best in terms of performance as it came without the catcon. One of my cousins still has a 99 model in pristine condition.Alloys you can get the karizmas.I guess its a direct fit or only least mods required.Iridium plugs other than improved cold starts and long life no other huge performance benefits(my experience, may vary with others).KN filter(i wont recommend)-model rc1060
    Socha Toh Locha.

        • Hey guys me too owner of a cbz classic nov 2003..clocked 27721kms..still its roaring..sum problems r der cheap quality TPFC panels..i hav removed dem..tired of spending money on dose cheap panels..my bike is in stock condition..my ride is mostly in city b2b traffic combined wid highway also..i get a 42-44kmpl in traffic + highway conditions...& i think its gud enuff for a 6yrs old bike..once i had squeezed 59kmpl out of d bike on my trip to karnala..evn i ws shocked...bt i always get above 40kmpl..high end uptill nw on d speedo ws 106kmph...as mentioned earlier vibrations r der @ 5k rpm..bt have to live wid it as it is my 1st luv..i stopped using d HH oil 10w30 SJ..my bike used to heat up quickly and stall after riding 20-30kms..switched to Castrol 20w40 n d heating problem has vanished..my 2 cents on dis - its a luvely machine to own..it has created a legend in biking in INDIA!!

          • Guys i am sick of my SHE-BZ's front disk pads.
they arent original cos original are too costly.

i need somegood replacement .... otherwise i will plan to change the whole assembly with pulsar disk

have heard Apache disk pads suits CBZ .. have anyone tried them ????

            or anyother suggestion ,,,,

The indian made ones are not costly that is why they offer only 80-90% of original Nissin ones. But the performance with local ones is not that bad. Perhaps, the callipers are jammed/ineffective. Get it checked. Also, get the disk thickness checked. I think the local ones at 1/3rd of price with 80-90% performance is like OK.

                • Guys.. Was thinking of getting done sprocketing to help Cruise in Lower RPM, right now doing 90kmph in 7.2k rpm

Was thinking of putting Achiever's front 15t, can somebody please confirm if it is a direct fit ?

Also is their any other option which can yield better results then achiever's sprocket ??

                  Please shed some light

I am no expert at this. Not even a rookie. But have a doubt about what you have said -

If we change the sprockets to make the gearing taller wouldn't it effect the engine (the crank) for stop and go city use due to the heavier load?

For highways it does help. But but for city use I doubt if that would be very useful and that it would achieve the desired result. How about reducing the friction and heat the engine generates / holds for your use? May be better engine oils... and I have heard about polishing the internals for lower friction (have no idea on how it is done and what the result is)

                          • Guys....Wats dis fuzz all abt....Straight answer 2 all the questions. A 15t front vl definately give a taller drive ratio.Without stressing the crank. A 15FT n 46RT vl give u a final drive ratio of 3.06 a bit taller than ZMA's 3.07. Ull definately cruise@higher speeds. At 3.5k expect 50kmph.Not more than that. This is da logic behind the sprocket's. But bear in mind. With stock, ull b doing several kmph less on top speed as the top gets freezes@ 8k-8.5k. N with 14FT ull b doing 9.6k@110-115kmph....

so u mean 2 say dat for a classic cbz 15t on d front and a less dan 46t can do better as for wat m looking 4?? i.e cruising higher speeds @ lesser rpm's??

Achiever has a 15t front & I was hoping to get it changed to it.. I think it is a direct fit..

anyhow right now my bike is doing 90kmph @ 7.1k RPM now i need to understand @ what RPM does this come with 15t & also how much Initial I l have to sacrifice ?

If you are using 15t then please post in the details
