    2. How was the Zapper Q working out ?? One of my frnd has a brand new 120/80 Zapper Q which he bought for Zima but not using since he is not happy with 120 size over 100 stock.

I might get a good deal if Q works out to be good for CBZ
    zapper q

dude beleave me zapper q rocks..
    go for it..
as u knw i got IRC but still
i personally feel that q was
    quite better then this IRC....
    q is best for cornering.....

dude go for normal stock size or else your top end will
suffer 2 days before i d fitted dunlop monster 120.
and top end got f**cd up...
so got back to stock size...

    and abt front tyre..
dude 90-90 is a direct fit......

    thnx

Hmm thank you thank you.. but the problem is he has 120 already with him anyway i will give it a try if only he still have it Until my next tyre change..

I thought 90/90 will be too big for front, recently changed the front with 2.75x18

Are the sprocket hubs same in size ??

            • hello to all.

friends i am having a query...
my bike has gone for a bypass surgery (just kidding). had restrored
the whole engine (all stock cbz parts)... i mean parts from cylinder
kit to clutch assembly clutch plates, halfcentre, all main bearings, walls, tapits... every possible thing...after the whole surgery the roar of the bike is compleate genuine but there is some tapit noise. workshop person is saying that it is due to the losen tapits.i asked him the reason for losening of tapits.. he said something but that had gone above my head....

              so now my questions
ques 1: are the tapits left losen after this bypass...?? and what is the reason behind this losening....

ques 2: how much run-in kms do i keep...???any precautions while doing run-in apart from speed limit...???

and any further suggestions/advice are invited....

                1. Tappet noise - I think you need to adjust the tappets but I think you should do the run in first & then think about it if it still persists.

                2. After my Bore change I did a 500km run in, which my mech told is enough after a bore change..

Keep it below 4k rpm or max 50kmph speed until 1000kms since you have changed most of the engine parts.

Also try to use Mineral oil for 4-5k kms so that the engine can settle in again.

                ATB for the run in

BTW How much did this Bypass cost you ??

                                Latest Update

Changed my front sprockets to 15t Achiever's

                                Pro's

                                1. Bike seems to be gaining almost 600 rpm less to reach speeds of 80, 90kmph now

                                14t stock 15t
                                60 - 4.5k rpm 60 - 4k rpm
                                80 - 6.5k rpm 80 - 5.9k rpm
                                90 - 7k rpm 90 - 6.5k rpm

Haven't checked it further to 90kmph which I will do as I hit highway anytime soon.

                                Cons

                                1. Initial is bit affected ( Not too much though) but the noticable difference is the time taken for the bike with 15t to reach speeds of 80, 90 & more from 60kmph.. it is convincingly more.

All in all if somebody is a tourer & would not mind sacrificing a bit in Initial & mid range then this is very good Modification.

total cost Involved - 95rs Sprocket, 20rs fitting charge.

M hoping that my mileage wil go up by at least 2kmpl lemme check it & come back to update here in the coming days.
