Jatin : What riding gear are you using - the one in your signature ??

Other members, please share you modifications here too

Question: I have a CBZ without electric start - what are my options to upgrade the headlight ??

And what should be its ideal pricing.Seller is asking 25k!!
For that CBZ, the seller is asking too much. Can u post some pics of the bike? maybe its a well maintained bike

      • @ gautam .. yes i removed the chain guard to install tyres .. but i do keep my chain well protected by Wd40

Front yre -2.75-18 Rear Tyre 4.00-18 .. 2800 for set with bill (these tyres comes with some kind of warranty) !!

The best option is to add bulb holder from passion/splendor and mount OSRAM white tube ... any other electrical mod goes kaput after some months !!

          1. Is it a DIY ?

          2. Any model / product number / picture for this while tube - i couldnt find it at OSRAM product catalogue

          3. Cost break of holder & tube ?

          4. Just to confirm - for my bike (without self-start) this setup would be good enough ? nothing else needs to be tinkered with in electricals. ?

          • posting after pretty long time

the story is that i fell from my SHEBZ at some 70....
            was a nice looking accident
the fairing gone.... front fork bend and the funny thing...
timing chain and its tensioner also got damaged and lastly me...
left with 4 stitches in the knee

the original tensioner was costing 1700
so got LOCAL one for 300

the original fairing was for 1200
            so got local for 300

i have started to hate HH cos they are rapidly increasing cost of CBZ's spare part as they want to phase them out by decreasing demand.

what will happen if things kept goin like this???

yes vese i have two riding jackets one is a red dsg falcon and the other one is black dianese lather jacket....
and in signature i am wearing that dianese lather jacket...
                and helmet it's INDEX (thai)....
gloves are probiker city ride gloves....

                and about headlight mod...
firstly, cbz is worst for it's headlight.
the first option for u is to put some other bike's dome like fz's or 180's..
other is HID but for that u need to do hell lot of changes.... and will be
                a costly too....
                choice is yours
what i ll suggest you is go for osram night breaker or philips hs1 bulb
they are far better than that of stock and the best part u dnt have to
                even touch any other part....

holder + tube roughly 400 bucks

my bike too is a non self start .. only the old holder needs to removed and this one to be added !! works very well !!

the HID problem is now being solved...
actually that rr unit was not that powerful
to give a charge to 7 amps battery.....
                    so changed that....
also made some changes with the battery...

and now HID is working nicelyyy.....

                    thnx

                        • @puneet: some changes are made with the coil.. made it double sided so as to produce more current... battery is compleately changed normal stock battery is 2.5 amps i am now using is a 7 amps UPS battery...
                          @gautam:
                          approx expense including cost of HID+ labour+rr unit+coil modifications = 3200-3400 rs
and my babe is without self-start...

and one thing anyone from this ownership thread from delhi or so.......???

Our's is AC+DC bike which will have half wave current along with RR which supports 2.5 A battery, to overcome the battery charging problem they make in the coil full wave current & change the RR to feed more current to battery so that it provides sufficient current to HID.

I have done a different mod - I have done coil rewinding & put custom made RR which supplies enough current to headlight to run 100w halogen.
