    guys, I have a doubt?

Will I be able to install disc brakes without having to change my alloys??
also about changing my filter ..i'm getting a decent mileage of 45kmpl nowadays...will it be shortened?

RawPower congrats on your purchase. Yeah, You'll be able to change the disc brake without having to change Magnesium Alloys. Since cbz disc brake has 6 nuts or bolts to hold it to the alloys, and to the wheel stock spoke rims. Those in the Pic are the Magnesium alloys which is a compound of magnesium and aluminum, When you'll jump into a pothole and those alloys will bend, those are simply not strong enough as the 6-spoke Pure alloys of cbz-x and not to mention the strongest alloys of ZMA.

As far as the filter is concerned. Your mileage should be the same it won't drop until and unless you want it to drop. I mean if you drive at respectable limits and dont push the throttle too hard, it should be the same. If by any mean if you detune the carb amd retune it back and if you leave the mixture a bit rich, your mileage would certainly drop and if you rejet your mileage would drop. Putting a K&N airfilter and leaving the filterbox open won't harm your engine. But its always recomended to keep it close.

actually , what you said was correct about the alloys.. It experienced a few bad hits in the potholes and thank god its not bend..

as for the filter, that is something I would do in the near future if not now..

        • My Cbz Restoration work started as during Stunt practise session i had a major crash while doing 12o clock. Now again i am trying something new in my CBZ.

Installing 225cc Zma Cylinder kit,Crank and all.Zma Wiring ,Self start,Digital Speedometer of Bajaj XCD(as t is quite compact),Fz head light,New Side arms, whole new Body kit of CBZ or Zma(quite confused). If i go for zma i will have to change side arms and will install only tank, side panels and tail. Plz suggest which body kit to install. If there will be some money left than i will go for rear disc too.

Right now my bike is installed with NGK,Zma Alloys +Zma Disc,Zma air filter, split fire..

Sadly Enough that won't be cbz anymore...You are planning to get the zma sould inside a cbz it seems. Hope you are doing fine after having a major crash. Cbz's body would look good than the zma. Go for the rear disc instead...You'll need enhanced braking with that kind of power. Keeping the existing cbz head would give you massive compression increase and take the greater honda engine reliability factor from you instead..So it all depends how you want to go. Kunjal do you remember me...? I asked you about putting the zma fork springs...???

You were lucky enough to not get any bends on that alloys..If by any means you want to keep those alloys...You'll have to take really good care of it and drive cautiously at all times...

              • unstability from rear wheel.

                hi friends,

i am experiencing handling problem with my cbz, i am feeling little under confidence while leaning at corners (30-45kmph safe speeds), sometimes it feels like the rear is going to skid,
                {(some History
                currently my bike runs with 120X80 Dunlop Gio cruiser, 10 months old, with good tread pattern, no major rim out, month before i changed my swing arm bush n my local mechanic fitted local market bush, it wasnt good and started to give trouble after couple of days, so again i changed them with Bajaj pulsar's swing arm bush,, now no wobbling in swing arm.}

now, my local mechanic is saying that it's due to worn out suspension bush i am really getting confused , anybody faced similar problem? please advice..
                thanks..

Worn out suspension's bush might cause the rear to wobble. Replacement of swing arm bushes should solve your problem, be aware only OEM bushes should be used. You should also replace the suspension bushes to OEM. Go to a good mechanic, who understands engine and chassis dynamics well. And tell him to do the swing arm setting and fitting. There is the problem 100%. Thats it your problem should be solved till then.

But brother...That's what I mentioned In my post. Neither the Stock/OEM CDI would work with our CBZ and ZMA and nor the Unrestricted 1. They are meant only for the CRF's. I and few other have already tried to get it working but without any success. I am 100% confident it wont work. Your cbzeee just wont start, as simple as that. The difference between unrestricted and restricted is that the restricted have the stock curve which is more leaner and give's more mile's per gallons+ its limited to 9800rpm. That means even if your bike has more power due to an over bored engine, it just wont be utilized. With the unrestricted one, Its more richer than the stock + it would rev past the 9800 rev limiter than the stock, just if your bike has that much power to get that far. Check when you get it and post you reply over here, in this thread...
You were right, the new Racing CDI does not work with CBZ, The bike just won't start. I guess I will have to for big bore cylinder 175cc kit & other upgrades for more power..

It was known that it wont work....Nomatter just how much you scrub your brains on that 1. Quick Tip for you. Buy a BBR Big-Bore Kit...175cc...Bolt it on with the piston, piston ring...Etc...ALWAYS remember to check safe wall thickness on the cylinder...I guess you'll most probably need to resleeve your cylinder to get 67mm piston into it...and that thick 10.5 Compression ratio would definitely make you run for your money...Please note not to run on pump gas and never ever run it lean...Jet it to 115 main and 38 or 40 pilot..... Use High octane fuel only...Or you'll end up screwing your engine...

@Satya_3d:- Any brand of 2.75x18 should work just fine....Hunt the tyre shops a bit...Should Cost you around 1000-1500 bucks....Dont know about dunlop...As I feel its a strict no-no for me...There are several tyre shops at nana peth....and 1 near sadhu vasvani chowk....another opp to the lane near vokwagen showroom....The road that goes down to manapa and juna bazaar there is volks showroom and mangala theatre...just opp to it a road goes to manapa bus station....I feel the soft compund tyre works best...Amazing grip through the steep inclines and declines....

When you are happy without the OEM you shouldnt be happy too long I see My friend....Its all upto you....Your bike...your sweety and your stuffs...etc....

Why do you need to go to showrooms for the fibers...You get only brand new HH vechicles there...Cant really understand??? Anways...Try geeta at nana peth...He has Some fiber for cbz...Tell him about me...Oh..he doesnt know my name...Tell him one with the Silver cbz....as of more description tell him that he had come to fit in zma front mudguard to his silver cbz... he would definitely remember me....!!! Tel him you are my friend...That would be a costly affair...Anytime you go...bear in mind to keep around 5000 bucks for all of your fiber needs....Thats max...Dont get scared by the quote...No HH still hasnt stopped manufacturing the fiber parts for the legend....I Guess I have a front sprocket...Will have to check...and let you know when I am in pune...You can collect it from me.....Lastly...the 15T front sprocket pf achiver would only hurt your torque curve....You'll find it very difficult to get over 100kmph mark with those...and also would suffer badly accelerating.....(My little piece of advice)dont put it it would hamper your overall performance.....and inturn hurt your engine in a big way...because just like humans it needs time to adapt...Once it adapts to 15T front it will face difficulaties adapting to 14T when you revert back...coz I am dead sure...You'll revert back....
