First of all & major thing to be checked is Engine, Rest of the things are all can be checked with visual inspection

Ride the bike for couple of kms for anything unusual before striking a deal

          • Help on DC connection in mumbai, navi mumbai, thane & also pune

Being a cbz owner,i know the real pain of night riding. How terrible is the headlight of cbz. I would use dis headlight for a romantic "CANDLE LIGHT" dinner. So u can image how much pain it has..

But now the things have changed for all cbzians. Now u can enjoy the glorious power of dc lighting. Trust me it works.

            Minimum Requirement:

            1. Any multi-reflector clear glass headlight assembly along with its brackets for mounting. (In my case i have used Yamaha FZ headlight assembly)
            2. Replace the old 2.5amph battery in 7 amph or 9amph battery.
            3. Battery bracket of karizma.
            4. A goood wiring
            5. Ape's RR unit.

Last but not the least A GOOD COIL REWINDING.

Cost for all this in my case:
            1. FZ headlight assembly: 900/-
            2. HL bracket: 250/-
            3. Side covers for HL: 250/- each req 2 in no.
            4. Screws for cover: 45/- each (4 in number)
            5. 7amph battery(Exide): 1400/-
            6. Coil rewinding complete 10 ft with 19 gauge copper wire: 450/-
            7. Ape's RR unit starting from 600- 1250/-

            Enjoyment of Superb light: PRICELESS.

            Person to be contacted:

            Nanotechnology an xbhpian
            Mahesh coil rewinding in thane.

Get ur wiring checked for nanotechnology and then he would guide for coil rewinding info.

So get ready all cbzians to get DCfied.....

soon i wil post the wiring diagram for DC connection for cbz..

            Enjoy...

                • Hi guys ,

I own a CBZ Star(2005) model which counts 72k in odo.. Currently there were some noises in my engine so i went to my mechanic and he asked me to change the piston, values , timing chain and camshaft arm.. He also said to do some boring work. But my friends suggest its not good to boar, better to change to new kit.. so yo CBZ guru's plz advice me regarding this probs.. And also lemme knw how much will the cylinder kit costs..

                  -Love,

                  Jayanth..

                        • I purchased a busted CBZ for 1500 bucks. I'll be picking that up in a couple of weeks. I'm still deciding whether to restore her or use her as a parts bike.
What do I intend to do? Stuff ZMR drivetrain into an Ambition chassis and watch others run scared!

Thanks. I know dat de looks are compromised but if ur riding bike for more than 5 years it is worth. An other reason is i do lot of night touring so on highway these lights are good.
