anyhow right now my bike is doing 90kmph @ 7.1k RPM now i need to understand @ what RPM does this come with 15t & also how much Initial I l have to sacrifice ?

If you are using 15t then please post in the details
For greater cruising speed at a relaxed RPM, I recommend you contact Praveen KM. He did the mod on his CBZ* and recommended the same to me. I passed so as no to lose the initial pickup. I remember that it involved using ZMA's pushrod in CBZ, but confirm with the dude himself.

    • Well, You do loose the initial pickup with the 15T. Like this change you would see, "the bike would loose the torque. When you go from the 5th 2 gear down back to 3rd. It wont generate dat much torque. So you'll need to take it down to 2nd. I dont recommend it taking it to 15T. because you wont be able to hit the kinda top speed you are hitting with 14T front. Now the main thing is dat ull easily ride up the hill with 14T, buh with 15T u'll struggle going along the hill. Until your engine is properly bored and have a free flow air filter with proper jetting. It simply aint of any use switching to 15T front. Ull sacrifice on the top speed and better drive ability in traffic. And by the way cbz was meant to be short geared and hence it has loads of torque. Choice is yours.

Yes I remember you telling me the same, I just wanted to take a easy & cheap option because dont know what could be the outcome I really dont wana loose too much of Initial , Achiever's Front sprocket costs 85 bucks which is not too much If I want to come back to stock.

Point noted exactly what I also think.. but thier is no harm in trying..every CBZ owner knows how stressed the engine will run @ 6 or 7k Rpm so thinking of giving a try & see how it works out.

If this did'nt work out as per my needs, Max I would loose 100bucks

        • With the stock cdi in place. It is bound to happen. My cbz vibrates a lot after 6k. Yeah it does stress out. But it doesn't give up till 120kmph. But with 15T achievers sprocket, At max ull do 115Kmph on da speedo. If you are really desperate to try it den u obviously can and with the dirt cheap price of 100 bugs for the sprocket its a good deal after all. I had gone with complete kit the time when i was changing the sprockets. It did cost me a bomb. 550 bucks for the same. Since I was happy with the city riding with the 15t front. I am driving with it till den. This is where my story changes. I did hunt down the way to increase the torque build up, I did go in for original zma camshaft. Now I have the same kinda torque as the zma. A more aggressive lower and mid range. And the same does go to High range. With the 15T front, and with zma camshaft I am doing 5kmph more on the speedo the same road, the same conditions and same weight. Quite happy with the performancenow.

              Hi,
Can you throw some more light on this? Do u really mean your CBZ is churning out the same torque as the Karizma, or did you just mean it in the relative sense?

Wow.. good to hear.. can you tell me how much does the ZMA's cam shaft costs ?? Today went out for a small ride & bike is struggling to go beyond 100 on Speedo & I think the culprit is K&N it needs a clean

Front - Dunlop Mystery, Rear - Monster should do good for stock size

                • You would get the camshaft for 650 bucks and you would need to change the valve springs too. because they work hand in hand. If you change just the camshaft and not the valve springs then you may break the valve after continuous long drive. Yes, the torque curve is same.

guys i changed both the tyres...
for front- zapper fs (90-90 18") costed me around 1230rs
rear- irc (110-90 18") costed me around 1600rs...

for irc though i am not liking the tread of the tyre as earlier i was
using zapper q but yes gripping on the road is good...

any comments or complements about the tyres guys.......????

                      My 2 questions

                      1. How did U manage 90/90 on front stock rim ( if u have put in stock ?? )

                      2. How was the Zapper Q working out ?? One of my frnd has a brand new 120/80 Zapper Q which he bought for Zima but not using since he is not happy with 120 size over 100 stock.

I might get a good deal if Q works out to be good for CBZ

I dont think so..its possible. There is no facility on Uni's exhaust to put Xtreme muffler tip.

my SHEBZ star is denying to go above 8k rpm and there is dismissal power between 7-8k rpm.

what i am saying saying is pickup is f*&^ed up.

clutch plates are only an year old (8k kms) so dont think thts a problem

the chain and rear sprocket are pretty much worn out ....
do u guys think that could be a problem.

i cleaned airfilter and carb but in no avail.
