This is bound to happen with carbon build-up in the exhaust chambers. It is a normal phenomenon.
Expected. Ride aggressively and the FE will surely drop. A light throttle can ensure better mileage, but then this is a ninja and it has to be ridden hard.Originally posted by JAKRAP View PostYou guys would kill me if I post these numbers. First 36.66 kmpl , next 33.58, next 31.03..Its been gradually decreasing as I increase the speed.

today was the day for me as it has been for many of you earlier - when people -
- turned back
- told me its a nice buy
- asked about the average
- even some folks who looked like villagers asked which company
- how did i pay ( loan or cash )
- told the light is on
so since 12:30 p.m. i'm a proud owner of my GREEN kwacker
i know a lot has been said about how to drive and all that -
but still if anyone can give me do's and don't during the run in period for both throttle handling, gear shifts, and other issues it would be great.
the only spoiler is it's raining daily these days in b'lore so i'm sure my ride will be muddy very soon and will require lot of cleaning.

>Stay within 4k rpm till 800 km... and keep changing the RPM and gears.
>Completely close the throttle while gear shifting
>Bend your elbows while riding to avoid pressure on wrists.
That should be good in to start with.
sigpicI feel like Clark Kent on the streets riding the Pulsar, On the track.. with my Ninja.. I feel like Superman.

Plain Unleaded fuel is 87 octane.Originally posted by Hyperion View PostIsnt the normal HP petrol 87 octane? Not sure. I think Speed/Power are 91.
Premium fuels such as Super / Speed / Xtrapremium are all 91 octane.
Speed however is (or was) available as Speed (91 octane), Speed 93 and Speed 97, the numbers denoting the octane levels respectively.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Thanks @hyperion & @n_aditya for the info.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostPlain Unleaded fuel is 87 octane.

I asked PBK for the the fuel to be used for Ninja. They informed me sada HP which is 92 Octane, should be fine. Looks like I need do some checking @HP fuel station.
By the way is anyone using sada petrol for Ninja? Any recommendations?Speed is nothing without CONTROL
