Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
With the incoming HXR250, it seems logical that the ZMR will be phased out. The new ZMR is not selling as expected. Hero knows it made a mess of the design. The engine isn\'t what you would call stellar...so there it goes. Hero\'s foray into multiple segments is also making life difficult for current owners—spares are usually out of stock!
As far my experience goes.....been hellish. Fuel pump issues, Odometer issues (Even though I have clocked close to 20,000 KM, it shows a mere 6800 KM in 1 year 8 months!), cycle parts. the worst part is: none of the service centres acknowledge the issues.
The only consolation: Engine is good. The rest I have to manage!

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Hello Guys,
Hope all are doing well.
Last week i have replaced both the tires in my ZMR after running for about 32500 KMs. I have installed MRF Zapper Q 100/90 in the rear instead of 100/80. In front I have used the stock profile. Please advise if the profile upgrade for the rear tire would cause any instability while riding the bike. When I spoke to the dealer he advised that it will not cause any issue. Its just that that the rear height would be increased by 10 mm.
Please advise.

Extremely sorry bhai. Airtel had a massive outage. Means no PC internet and tapatalk hasn\'t been working for 15 days.Originally posted by Above_All View PostI heard tomorrow never arrive but first time seeing tonight is also late
Do post it when you get dimension & time.
The top straight line is 10.5 cm and bottom straight is 9.6 cm.
Stock rear is 100/90-18 only. I have been using 110/90-18 which is 9 mm higher. No issues except increased pillion height.Originally posted by cfsjaved View PostHello Guys,

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
hey guys. how are you all? Its been a while since i posted.. Hope our cult is back and running
Anyway theres a huge problem with my bike. Some random day around a week ago after finishing college I happened to find my bike like this.
Someone had either stolen the o2 sensor or it had magically disappeared.
Anyway I called up @psr sir and he advised me to get a nut/bolt of the same size and fill that hole up. :/
After a bit of searching I got the o2 sensor, which was the only piece in chennai. It was a hero honda manufactured 2010 part..
So when I try to fix it up it wont thread in properly.. dont know if its a wrong thread.. not sure what to do now..
The bike has been lying around gathering dust.
Here is the pic of the sensor.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
If the O2 sensor you purchased belongs to ZMR then it should thread in without hassle... Try applying a little bit of engine oil on the thread of the O2 sensor and threading it in place....The O2 sensor will be tight in thread since a gas leak is not acceptable ....Originally posted by kmk0311 View Posthey guys. how are you all? If the tightening feels like the O2 sensor is going in cross thread, then don't force it...since the thread will strip ...When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Time to change the tappet cover O rings as well.

Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
I really dont know how this happened( o2 sensor thing)... I really cant accept the fact that its stolen because its not that easy to remove it and moreover only some cab drivers were at the parking Playing ludo ( usual thing and nothing has happened till now). I dont think they have so much knowledge about a bike to remove o2 sensor in particular and they cant sell it either. Students cant be there in parking lot for long time. But i also cant accept the fact that i can fall off. Because it is tight screwed to exhaust. And there was no warning on the dash either after it got lost :/ But recently during a trip his mirror allen screw fell off suddenly, which really made me suspect that it fell off.. Both are not same type of screws, but really is it possible ?
Either our country has become so bad to steal parts from bike after learning about all parts ( i mean the interior parts ) or somehow it fell off magicallyLast edited by siddharthsure; 02-02-2015, 09:48 PM.Its better to sweat than bleed!! "AGATT "

im not gonna try fixing it again.
i tried it when it was cold. haven't tried when hot. cannot able to keep my hands there when hot.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostTime to change the tappet cover O rings as well.

only two possible doubts are either it fell off or it got stolen. I'm sure it cant fall off because its screwed in so tight, and I didn't hit any pot hole or any thing. So more chances that it got stolen.Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostI really dont know how this happened( o2 sensor thing)... Also, the hero showroom which we enquired also told us that they had a complaint that another sensor was stolen like this a week ago.. But i'm not sure how far he was true..

And no one would steal a teny little sensor from a zmr when there is ninjas and rc 390 lying there. Ok who the hell cares now, stolen or fallen
. Its gone, fit the new one now

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
When hot the metal expands, might give you enough room, dont use too much torque. As for hot, get rid of the fibers, more room to play around and lesser chance to get hurt.Originally posted by kmk0311 View Posti tried it when it was cold. haven't tried when hot. cannot able to keep my hands there when hot.
