Thanks bro! But still it's only the yellow beam which is visible through the helmet visor. Not the white.
Btw, which one will you opt when you upgrade bro? Osram or philips?

after a long time I am posting here.. the last time I posted something here was last year

Ok.. so after my wife left to Coimbatore on the 3rd of Jan, I decided to take my bike for a spin after 11 freezing days.. I went down to the basement wearing my LS2 helmet and dianese (Chinese) leather gloves.. I turned on the ignition and thumbed the self start.. the engine came to life on the first thumb.. Yippeee.. I was happy as any biker would be on hearing his precious little machine... I sat on the saddle and the bike seemed low.. Wondering why.. I got down the bike and noticed the rear tire flat.. I immediately went up to my house and picked up my car keys.. came down and took out the air pump, connected it to the cigarette lighter socket and pumped the air to the rear tire.. took the bike to the nearest puncture wala to find no puncture at all.. I asked him to check for leakage on the side walls and there was lot of leakage.. I was wondering why it was happening and after few minutes of thinking, realized the paint might have got chipped off the wheels..

I immediately rushed to Karol Bagh from where I purchased the rear tire and asked that guy to find out why it is leaking and he pointed to the same assumption I had.. He suggested I get tubeless chemical (costs 150/-) and meanwhile, I looked at the front tire and it was bald on the center and I decided to get it changed. I asked him for good tubeless tires which can be used in all weather.. He brought in 3 tires namely Michelin Sirac Street (TT) 2.75-18, Dunlop Monster (TL) 80/100-18 and stock ZMR front tires (TL). I looked at the pattern of Dunlop monster and I liked it. I chose it and asked him to fit it.. meanwhile, I went to get the chemical he asked me to get.. when I came back, they had removed the front tire and was in the process of fitting it.. I gave them the solution and they removed the air from the rear tire and started filling the chemical inside. I suggested they fill half to the rear tire and the remaining half to the front tire and they did the same..

even after doing this, the air was leaking and the shop keeper suggested I ride the bike for few kms for the solution to spread across the wheel.. I came home and found the air was not leaking any more.. I was restless thinking I might have to change the wheels if the leak didn't stop.. Thankfully it got arrested...

The Dunlop monster after negotiating, I got it for 1300.. Is that a good buy?? it looked smaller than the previous Michelin Sirac Street I had.. I leaned as much as I can and I had more than enough confidence.. The tire is doing its job in dry conditions, I am yet to test them in wet conditions..

By The Way, what is the size of the stock tire?? 90/100-18???

I will post the pic of the tire later

Stock is 90/90 18. And Dunlop is the best I've used to date, but sadly wears off sooner than expected due to it being soft compound.

Thanks for the input. Though the tire looks small, the grip is simply perfect.. how does dunlop perform in wet roads?? and how soon did it wear off?? 10000 kms??

Mines the super huge Monster Trail, it's around 30k old and the centre portion is excessively worn where as the sides have normal wear. Might be cause I only use it for highway runs with minimal corners.

Even I need to change the front tyre and unable to find any TL option except stock MRF. Please post your reviews and pic. Is that Dunlop Monster or Mystery ? I don't see any front tyre from Dunlop called Monster.

Now that has got me confused. I will check and let you know by the evening.. The tire seems to have perfect grip on dry conditions.. yet to check on wet roads...

OT. BTW. my friend's RTR 180 was stolen on 11th of Nov 2014.. his insurance had expired and we lost our hopes.. He was planning to buy a new bike and all of a sudden on the 1st of Jan 2015, he got a call stating his bike has been found in Meerut with Registration plate changed.. The bike has been impounded by the cops there under section IPC 411.. we are in the process of getting the bike back and hopefully we will get it back by the week end..

                        EDIT -

Went to the parking and clicked the pics of the tire and specifications.. I was right about the name.. it is a Dunlop monster 80/100-18

                        here are few pics..

I met with an accident in the year 2013 and I left the fender as such.. to keep away the evil eyes

BTW.. why don't I find the air filter for ZMR/ZMA-R in any of the service centers?? I checked up with more than 10 service centers and none of them even have it stocked! :banghead:

edit - the seller has given me 3 years guarantee for the tire.. wondering what is covered under guarantee other than natural cuts and small pore size holes developing naturally (i faced such an issue with an IRC tire and got it replaced)
