I read somewhere that when it comes to safety, gloves are even more important that jackets.

I lost my spartan patheon unfortunately during the rain when I tried to hide them inside my jacket. Must have slipped down on the way.
2.1K gone

Now I'd like to get new ones. Don't want to be riding without them. Please suggest one that is of good quality, offers decent protection and can be used in rain. Also preferrably without leather as I don't want to use animal products.

1800 isn't much. I use Cramster Twister and they cost the same. I didn't have a single scratch on my palms/fingers in the accident. It's a nominal price bro.

There's nothing like all weather buddy. Be it gear or tires or romance!
For me semi gauntlet do the job, but for more powerful bikes (that we all aspire to own one day), I'd say full gauntlet.

Save money and get A*. Simply the best at ~4k (semi gauntlet). Else, Spartan!

I'm quite sure it's an issue with the battery, could be because of infrequent usage of the bike, in case of storing the bike for 5+days, do disconnect the battery from the leads to prevent discharging. You can carry out a leak test using a multimeter like how Divya Sharan explained but some thing that's easy and less complex would be to take the battery off and get it fully charged and see the difference, the battery that comes with zmr is a maintenance free battery and cannot be topped up with distilled water to boost its specific gravity so external charging alone should help else, it's time for a new battery.
My 2010 zimmer using the same battery, and has never been a issue till date. I guess every alternate day starting and letting it idle for 5mins should be enough to keep a battery healthy, that is if HID or other heavy direct DC electricals are in use, for a ordinary ZMR with normal DC setup a start once in every 5 days is recommended to keep it good. Also smear Vaseline on the leads to prevent corrosion and oxidation. When disconnecting leads ensure its the -ve lead first and while reconnecting it's the +ve first. It might sound silly to follow all these intricate details, but the results are truly rewarding and hassle free.

Why I felt Full Gauntlet is better is, during winter, it would block the air from entering into the jacket or the shirt.. it gets damn freezing here and the wind would just add to it

Well my semi gauntlet locks on the jacket's arm near the tip. So I don't feel any air passing through. But, maybe you'd need a full gauntlet because DL is colder during winters than the southern peninsula.

I was once thinking of replacing my rear tyre with a 120 section one also with a thought to
change my rear tyre and fit that in front
Will it affect the handling?

I mean 120 section new one at rear and 100 at front wont that give killer looks to our bike
Just a thought without any understandings of technical changes that can happen

A Big No No if you ask me.. The rear tire patterns are different compared to the front tire pattern.. You can definitely fit a 120 section rear tire but you will have to remove the chain guard which again will reduce the life of the chain depending on how you take care of it. more dust sits on the chain mind you ZMR doesn't come with O ring chains

if you want to use the rear tire as front tire (I have seen few people use it) ashwinprakas used a 100 section Michelin Sirac Street on his Karizma.. Do it at your own risk..

One big disadvantage of using tube type tyres as rear in zmr is, when you have s puncher, no one bloody agrees to service it as the wheel has to be removed. Found this out yesterday :banghead:
