Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
One of my friends friend had put a Red LED just below the headlight on his Activa and was caught. Cops told him 'Ye laser lagake kaha ghum raha hai'. LED light as laser :banghead:Originally posted by Divya Sharan View Post

Guys.. here are the pics of the leakage.. Looks pretty bad
Notice the leakage.
From the bottom of the engine/crankcase.
This is the new drain bolt I replaced with the o ring.
Right side view.
I was unable to remove this screw as it kept slipping. I've applied zorrik and will try tomorrow morning.
dipstick level. ( Allowed to settle over night when on the center stand)

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Oil level seems ok. How much did you fill?Originally posted by kmk0311 View Post
1. Remove entire front fairing.
2. Buy 4-5 tooth brushes (medium bristle).
3. Buy 1 litre diesel.
4. Buy 1 colgate toothpaste.
5. Use polythene gloves (buy any cheap hair color if you don't have polythene gloves). Desi jugaad - wrap a polythene on your hand.
6. Give the bike a good wash. Especially, the engine and leakage area. Use car shampoo. Alternatively, use baby shampoo. Don't use normal hair shampoo as they contain many chamicals.
7. Let the bike dry.
8. Use toothpaste and scrub the engine and its fins with a fresh toothbrush. Same for radiator(oil cooler).
9. Give a thorough water wash and scrub the leftovers with a fresh toothbrush.
10. Lastly, dip a 3rd fresh toothbrush in diesel and scrub the engine and fins again.
11. Dry in shade. Avoid spraying water.
12. Ride for a few kms now. (minus the fairing)
13. Leave it for 5-6 hours.
14. Click a pic then and post!Last edited by Divya Sharan; 10-31-2014, 05:37 PM.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

I warned you this would happen... You were pretty adamant. Clean this up > Drain the oil ( Already mixed with mineral, though small quantity i will not do that ) > Fill it with shell or any mineral oil and you are ready to go. Just my opinion... Choice is yoursOriginally posted by kmk0311 View Post

Yup.. Will drain and change it. Wanted to experience the smoothness of FS oil.. I'll shut up and stick to semi synth itself..Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostI warned you this would happen... You were pretty adamant. Chill Doc, nothing to worry, it's just the levers. I'm sure everything's gonna be back to normal soon. You might have to change the clutch lever, left foot peg, gear lever can be straightened out if bent, handle bar grips can be replaced and are cheap. Look out for damage in other areas like the fairing.I'm sure it's jus a few scratches. Check the handlebar for possible bend, I really doubt though as it's hardly any impact. The forks should be fine too. Your bike should be fine otherwise, if my assumptions are correct.
I had the same issue with my cd100's side stand, thankfully never dropped it. I had it corrected to 45deg angle and is now as good as new on any terrain.
I guess we all need to ensure the bike's not gonna fall before we leave it, I see these happen every other day in our neighbourhood, it's kinda mainstream these days.

There should be an hero parts distributor near you who have stock of all parts and if not order them for you. I felt totally down after my first fall with my zimmer, shitty ASCs also add to the pain. I'm sure your bike will be back to how it was, jus the time.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Keep the foot rest safe. You can use the old rubber peg of the foot rest. That alone will save you 200.. the clutch lever will cost yiu hardly 80/- what do you mean by meter gear? The acceleration cable B will cost you at max 110/- air filter will cost you ~170ish...Originally posted by Dr.Hemant Gajendra View PostHere in raipur parts are not available so easily that is the mai problem
