One of them has worn out more than the other.

I changed the pads, braking is poor. How long will it take to run in??

    Here are the old pads.

Wear on the side where the brake line goes in will be more for obvious reasons.

And regarding warped disk, put slight pressure on the brake lever while riding, and if it pulses. Your rotor is warped.

OT- A close friend had a brand new Unicorn with a warped plate, when I rode the bike found that the lever was pulsing, took it to the SVC to claim warranty and they said "it is how the brake is pumping to stop safely" but one of the guys there knew me and my ZMA(Not in a good way.) as he used to work for Hero previously, he came up and took the bike in for a warranty replacement.

Bent. If placed on a plane surface, the whole area won't touch the surface.

Oh. I don't think it pulses as Ashwin mentioned.. Anyway the mech applied grease on the pistons and each and every screw in the caliper.

Your floating Caliper is no longer having smooth operation...Happens when the front of bike goes through mud and slushy area and is not washed afterwards....This will stop the caliper from auto adjust floating action leading to one sided brake pad wear....here are two images ..First one is from ZMA and the second from CRF manual....

Nope! Now the damage has been done and you shall have to buy a whole new front wheel set including the rims and the brake assy.

The Two pinion from the Caliper Holding bracket slides into the Caliper ...if the caliper does not move freely on the pinions then floating caliper action will not happen leading to one sided wear...Nothing to worry since brake still works ...only the pads will have uneven wear...The floating mechanism adopts to varying profiles to give better braking unlike a radial one....I see that you are from my city..may be I can share the knowledge when you have the time ...in person....

I have noticed some friction while applying brakes. There is no uneven wear though. I think I will need to get the assembly cleaned and try.

What I didn't understand is, why should the RIM be replaced ?

Checked out the new ZMR in flesh yesterday and quite honestly, it looks pretty well,in fact better than the previous ZMR.

The classic ZMA-R however is still unmatched.

I think the new ZMR looks unimpressive. I don't like the side panel and tail piece at all. I have seen it flesh many tines and it looks like just another bike. The classic ZMR on the other hand I think is a timeless beauty. It looks smooth from nearly all angles.

Just my opinion and has nothing to do with the fact that I own a ZMR V1.

Yeah i love the new one too! Rear looks good. The tall visor is another plus. Less bulk and an awesome chain guard. The front view when i see the bike in the rvm of mine looks stunning! I wish the old one had few of the features of the new one. It would have looked much better then.. Cause rear of the old zmr and its front are not proportionate.
