if you'll change your bike's gears within the range of 4-5k rpm then it'll return you mileage of around 44-45kmpl or if you'll rip your bike badly then it'll give you somewhere in between 30-35kmpl..top speed of ZMR is around 128kmph or AFAIK max you can achieve is around 130k's & ya it'll beat ZMA-R but don't expect beating it by huge margin..Originally posted by SriKi.GSpian View PostSuzuki Gixxer - Current

Less grip from rear tyre?
Is it just me or everyone feels that the rear braking power of the ZMR is less?? today i was riding at 90kmph and suddenly i saw a dog ran across so i din slam the brakes but i did engage them urgently...i din hit the front breaks at high speed but i did notice that the rear tyre did not slow the bike down so much...instead it was skidding...when the speed came to 60ish i applied front brakes to get the bike under control...my rear tyre is perfectly fine...no burnouts no rubber smoking no nothing...just normal use...but it was pretty scary to see that rear tyre wasnt offering any traction!

Hello Guys , I am Aditya . I am new in this forum .
I own a 2010 ZMR . I am facing few problems
1) The front Rim has a minor scratch . It is barely visible but i hate it
. What can i do to remove the scratch
??
2)@ 50-60 km\hr the faring makes noise
3)The gear shifting is sometimes too hard & some times too swift . SVC people says it will all be fine as the bike is new . What can be the possible problem here ? also the chain makes a lot of noise even after it was lubricated recentlyI don't brake rules , I merely test their elasticity ;)

change it to other tyre [m45]
1)hmmmm as rim has scratch it must be silver ?Originally posted by Adityaask View PostHello Guys , I am Aditya . I am new in this forum .

use a good marker pen on the scratch to hide it
2)its normal
tell SVC to tighten nuts and bolts
3) gears would be smooth after 3-4th service
chain sound is trademark of karizma
dont worry its normal
i love it lol

yeah the main culprit is stock tyre which makes ZMR's braking less effective then it is on a good tyre so just change your tyre & feel the difference, as for now you can adjust the braking by tweaking a bit in service centre..i've made it a bit softer cuz it used to lock the tyre frequently..Originally posted by Adrenaline X View PostIs it just me or everyone feels that the rear braking power of the ZMR is less?? today i was riding at 90kmph and suddenly i saw a dog ran across so i din slam the brakes but i did engage them urgently...i din hit the front breaks at high speed but i did notice that the rear tyre did not slow the bike down so much...instead it was skidding...when the speed came to 60ish i applied front brakes to get the bike under control...my rear tyre is perfectly fine...no burnouts no rubber smoking no nothing...just normal use...but it was pretty scary to see that rear tyre wasnt offering any traction!

a marker or black taping will do your job or even you can paint the rim.
2)@ 50-60 km\hr the faring makes noise
check from here voice is coming & tighten all the nuts.

just keep on changing engine oil at regular intervals or if possible for you then change the engine oil immediately cuz the oil given by HH sucks to the core..& noise from chain is common though i ain't experiencing this personally *touchwood*

What Vibrations where ? If it is the Fairing it is normal..if it is the tank and body, you are shifting gears under 3K RPM..try shifting around 3 K RPM and see..Originally posted by Adityaask View Post@ manan3230 & 111diablo111

Rim tapes look good initially but if the work and quality of tape is not good they peal off making the rim look bad.
If you do half clutch gear shift you will hear tak sound . If your bike had not completed 1,000 Kms on the ODO,wait till then, when the gears and clutch will bed down and become smooth.Still when you shift gears you will hear the clicking noise. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Are you serious bout ZMR's top speed being 128 ?? And I dont think it will beat a ZMA-R since i have done 135 KM/H....Maybe pickup wise but i guess ZMA-R has the top speed..... And people are saying the top speed is 140 for ZMA-R. No offense.....Originally posted by 111diablo111 View Postif you'll change your bike's gears within the range of 4-5k rpm then it'll return you mileage of around 44-45kmpl or if you'll rip your bike badly then it'll give you somewhere in between 30-35kmpl..top speed of ZMR is around 128kmph or AFAIK max you can achieve is around 130k's & ya it'll beat ZMA-R but don't expect beating it by huge margin..PHP Code:

I agree with you. It is less effective.Originally posted by Adrenaline X View PostIs it just me or everyone feels that the rear braking power of the ZMR is less?? today i was riding at 90kmph and suddenly i saw a dog ran across so i din slam the brakes but i did engage them urgently...i din hit the front breaks at high speed but i did notice that the rear tyre did not slow the bike down so much...instead it was skidding...when the speed came to 60ish i applied front brakes to get the bike under control...my rear tyre is perfectly fine...no burnouts no rubber smoking no nothing...just normal use...but it was pretty scary to see that rear tyre wasnt offering any traction!

And one more thing, Heat issue from the tank suddenly emerged from nowhere after the first service. Damn. And screeching noise too.
For gear shifts, i found a method to engage the neutral gear fast and effectively.

Engine Noise.... !!!!
hey guys...
I have been facing issues with my ZMR as well..
has anyone experienced too loud engine noise??? i bought in August 2010 and have done almost 6k and 3 services on time but the engine noise doesn't goes down...
I got it checked at the service center every time and there's only one guy who can service a ZMR, he always says "sir ji aapki gaadi thik hai.. koi problem nahi hai... engine bhi thik hai... n jo aawaz hai woh coil ke magnet ki hai... "

Now as far as i know the magnet does not makes any sound (correct me if i'm wrong) and the noise is like very loud while riding... and i hate loud noise coming from engine while riding...
So here are my questions:
1. Has anyone ever faced the noise issue before??
2. Is there a better engine oil other than stock HH one which can reduce the vibrations and the noise???
3. Does the Coil Magnet makes so much noise?
Can anyone suggest me a good service center in Gurgaon or Delhi??
I live in gurgaon...
please suggest guys...PEACE!!!!\/
RESPECT!!!!

I am too facing noise on engine..SVC able to judge it only after 2/3 months..after my several visits...mine was due to time chain...and still not resolved due to part not available...Originally posted by hondarider View Posthey guys...

yeah AFAIK a stock ZMR will top slightly under 130k's & their isn't any freaking chance that a stock ZMA-R can do a true 140k's or even 135k's..you might have done it on speedo that i agree but i don't know if you ever measured it with proper instruments like speed gun or even gps..i guess even company claims ZMR's top end coupe of k's more then zma-r & pick up has increased cuz of FI as well..so as i said ZMR is ahead in both pickup & top end from ZMA-R but not by a huge margin..Originally posted by krUnIzZlE View PostAre you serious bout ZMR's top speed being 128 ?? my friend has also took his ZMR to 134k's(do mind that ZMR has most accurate speedo among all Indian bikes including zma-r)..but that i guess he might be on slope so conditions were favoring him but that isn't a normal case..Last edited by 111diablo111; 04-05-2011, 12:25 AM.Suzuki Gixxer - Current
