1)can you please suggest me which one I should go for OSRAM or Phillips and which particular model?
If you need a good bulb on budget, then go for Philips Premium 55/60W bulb which cost you less than 80rs also known as Maruti 800 Bulb. OR

Philips Xtreme 55/60 Bulb,Which is claimed to be 80% brighter, but its only 40-50% brighter than ordinary bulb.
My vote goes to Philips Premium bulb 55/60. Check Karizma/Karizma R thread for pics of this bulb.

2)Also do I need to put a relay for the new bulb ?
No,You dont have to use a relay for this bulb's in karizma,Its a direct fit for karizma.

4)Can fitting the bulb void my bike's warranty ?

      Thanks.

Using OSRAM Night Breaker 55w/60w for Rs 900 with very good results.
No relay required and no heating problem observed. Satisfied till now.
Will not void warranty as per my SVC.

Vibrations gone, smooth and no harsh engine feel even after 1000 odd kms in City which I faced earlier.
Almost clocked 2000 kms now with this engine oil, will again change on Saturday in next SVC.
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

But probably due to logistics HH has made it simpler for all vehicles.

Similarly ZMR uses DOT-4 Brake Oil but has the entire same setting of ZMA using DOT-3.

Although I am using this with very good results.
it a good oil, when i was using it i was only worried about the grade

using the Osram 55/60 bulb for the past 1.3 yrs on the bike. Just completed 25K on the bike and still going strong. I do almost all my rides in night and bike runs solely on highways. On my way to pune on 25th and its a night ride once again....found it really effective. Also there is no extra wiring needed, its a direct fix for the zmr. You can get it for Rs. 800 from koramangla.

Above All - I see the pilot/parking light color temperature differs to each other on the picture posted.

If I'm not wrong the left bluish should be more 6000k and the right should come around 4300k. Correct? Those lights are awesome!!

Could you please share details of the these bulbs? I'm desperately looking for LED 4300k parking bulbs. Help me!

              • I wonder why in the world doesn't HH come up with synthetic oils for their bikes so that we don't have risk warranty for switching to FS oil.. Like R15 and CBR.. Once the run-in is over (or whenever they want) they can switch to FS oil (provided at their respective service centers) and they have no warranty issues... Such a great bike (ZMR) and we have to stick to such a crap engine oil just for sake of warranty

Hey guys forgot to mention so editing: CBR uses same 10w30 grade oil and is available at their service centers in both mineral and synthetic variants (forgot it was SS or FS).. So if someone wants to switch the oil without changing the grade, it may be a good choice.. :-)

                    +1

For the warranty we are restricted to change oil...

If you switch oil from standard crap HH oil to Synth, how will they know ? HH service lacks some basic equipments, and how will they be able to read the oil as Synth , leave alone the grade.....The only possibility is the stock oil turns to glockomoly goo in just 600 Kms while the Synth will look clean and good..

Alternatively you can drive for 300 Kms on HH oil ,then drain the HH oil,and store it, and fill in the oil of your choice. When sending the bike for service drain the oil and fill in the HH oil again. The oil change is not a demanding task and can be done easily.

Instead of that tell HH SVC that you dont need to change the Oil while you do servicing. simple, why to do so much of exercise...
Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

Skipping oil change will be noted in the service log maintained by SVC and will void warranty...
In some SVC here they accept the oil the customer brings in, so long as it is not crap...but there are places wherein the SVC will not accept oils from outside.....So the post is only for those who WANT to have THE OIL OF THEIR CHOICE.
