Count 100% value on metal parts like alloy wheel, left and right handle, end weights, disc plate, rear/front brake lever, fork and labor.

Rest of the parts u ll get 50% or less.

As you will get 100% on wheel, i would suggest u to replace the wheel. Never take a chance.

The insurance surveyor has not inspected the bike as yet. But according to the SVC guy, 50% will be given for fiber parts and 85%for metal parts. And regarding the friend. He will pay be it 1K or 20K.

The wheel is ok. No need to change. There is no change in the riding of the bike. riding is perfect except the bent angle and brake pedal. Most of the damage is to the body. The SVC guy adviced me to keep the wheel in the estimate so as if the inspector is lenient it will be replaced too.

Wheel is perfectly fine as mentioned earlier. And 100% refund is not given. Its 85% for metal parts (acc to the svc guy).

there is no need to lube change that often, it is covered so leave it to service people. and for polish you may go for turtle wax, waxpol, maruti genuine polish.

Which insurance company is your bike insured to?

Can someone give me the details of the policy "1-9NHDH1" of Iffco-Tokio.

Edit: Got this infor from the Iffco-Tokyo website:

How depreciation will be charged to me on different parts?
                      Rubber/Plastic material 50%
                      Fiber Glass 30%
                      Rear view mirror 50%
Front or back Glass 0% (connected parts like rubber sealer etc is not 50%)
Metal Objects Depends on the age of the vehicle
Wooden Parts Depends on the age of the vehicle

What I want to know is how the depreciation of metal objects depends on the age of vehicle. Any Idea of how a 6 month old bike will get.

                      • I hope you have told them you were driving, else there might be complications.

Also, get the T-cone set change otherwise you will notice a change in handling.

                        And don't worry, shit happens

I've attached the estimate few posts earlier. In that there is this 'fork tuning'. Does T cone comes under this?

in severe rains there can be some effect. but since our's is a covered one you can not use the spray based lube, so if you wish then you can get a conventional lube pump[used in svc] and then remove the hole and lube it.
