  • ermm... yea, many frnds said to me that u wont look odd on zmr. The big bulky fairing would be able to compensate to my physique in some-what manner.
I'm just concerned if i would be looking terrbile on zmr :P lyk a giant hulk riding a cycle
While i'm doing my bit to get into shape,i don't want to be someone laugh'd at due to the odd combo of me n my bike
I have to ride just for a period of 2yrs then its really not a matter of concern whether the bike does well or not,but within this tym span the bike should loose its pickup n power due to exertion of continous heavy weight laid upon it

bdw the bullet n TB are the last optn.. they attract too mch attetn and i kind of dont lyk that 'dug dug dug dug'

the best thing to do is to take a pic of u sitting on zmr and ask your close ones for their opinion
and also if there is anybody here owning zmr who is close to your weight can help
but i feel it does not look bad

        red light looks good
do we have to change the bulb is it
i am thinking to change it to blue like in the new zmr
Yes, the blue ones look better than amber ones on our bikes. I have edited the pic to 'more contrast', hence it looks red.
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Suggest you to get RE bikes. ZMR can handle your (and pillion's weight) without much ado, but it'll show signs of wear and tear soon.
RE's have ample torque to pull weight.
Regarding the dug-dug sound, either shift to a short bottle Goldstar exhaust or get used to it.

thanks for the suggestion. i will consider them too..
btw by 'soon' how mch time r we taking about approximately ? within months itself or after a yr ?
this would play a crucial part in deciding abt d ZMR!!

Hey brother......Just my opinion on it....The zmr wont look odd on you if you are a little healthy....and according to me...i dont think the wearing out issue will also occur..the bikes are made used to such weights...yes the top end and the torque ratio will be effected...as in more of gear shifts will have to be made with change in speed...!!
But in my sincere opinion......the New TBTS or infact any RE will look better on you and will carry you aptly with its good power output ...!!

By soon I meant within 2 years.

Actually,i'm planning to get a zmr soon but confused a lot due to my physique ..
I'm a 115kg monster and i m confused whether the zmr will be able to handle my weight properly or the engine will be affected due to overload (200-220kg with pillon)
Also i need a brotherly n personal suggestn,do fat guys look decent on zmr or shld i go for bullet/thundrbird :-/
                    Be frank !!!
                    If 80-105 kg can ride a R15 a 150cc bike then surely a 115kg can ride ZMR 223cc more comfortably then R15.

I have a friend weighing 90+kg riding R15. So now you judge yourself.
Infact ZMR has best comfortable riding position for touring, commuting etc... (I thought comfort should be main concern than what looks how ?)

                    So don't worry on that.

And does really people have that much time to see who is riding what ?? unless a 1000cc bike passes by !!

That's my ZMR. Completed an untidy first service.

I noticed that the sticker on the tank top (with gear diagram) was actually not aligned properly. That disturbed me so much that I scraped it off with my nails and some toothpaste.

Also I finally managed to get a proper cover from the Velachery dealer.

A question on fitting Osram Night Breaker. Will it void the battery warranty? I do find the lights inadequate. Also where can I get it here in Chennai or online?

                      • Your bike looks maroonish...i know its RED but still..!! Any way.....no the change in the bulb wont void your warranty...!!! and yes the headlight reflector console of the zmr is a huge one and amazing but the stock bulb isnt enough to produce the required light to be emitted...!!! The NB will surely be a bit of good upgrade..!!

                          • Do I need to look for any particular specifications for the Osram night breaker? I see H1, H4 and H7 listed on eBay.
