Hi, can you please click some more photos of your bike from different angles & post here? If possible then park your bike under direct sunlight & take snaps. Thanks!Originally posted by sarkartheruler View PostThat's my ZMR. Completed an untidy first service.I noticed that the sticker on the tank top (with gear diagram) was actually not aligned properly. That disturbed me so much that I scraped it off with my nails and some toothpaste. Also I finally managed to get a proper cover from the Velachery dealer.A question on fitting Osram Night Breaker. Will it void the battery warranty? I do find the lights inadequate. Also where can I get it here in Chennai or online?2005 HH Karizma [SOLD]

Is there any specific product to give a shiny look to the plastic parts I.e
The black parts below the handle bar, the meter console, the part where HECS3 sticker is present and the rear mud guard? My armorall doesn't seem to have any effect on these parts.

Yes you get a dashboard polish for it....it is used to polish the dashboards of cars..!! you get small pouches of it arnd 10-15 bucks...!! its a light grey paste...which has to be applied to the parts with the help of a cloth....aloow it to dry for some time...and then soft wipe it with a soft cloth...and the parts become sparkling black!!...Originally posted by blizarder View PostIs there any specific product to give a shiny look to the plastic parts I.e

Warning: do not apply it to parts such as handle bars as this is a wax stuff so tends to slip when gets wet due to to sweat....!! Not meant for tyres also...!! Waxpol is one brand that has this polish...!!Regards-

Okay! I have finalised to get a ZMR.. What are basic things i need to change in ZMR ? Like Tyres, Headlight Bulb etc ?
Also I wanted to know which tyre would fit into ZMR without cutting the chain cover or are the okay'ish to ride them on highways for the next 2-3k kms ? Particularly, since i won't be speeding the bike too much atleast till then..
n without fitting any projector assembly which bulb would fit in the ZMR to give sufficient visibility ? I have heard enough complaints abt the poor visibility of the stock bulb..
Most of my riding would be at night so i am more keen on changing the bulb in the first week itself

Sure, will try. Problem is always with the filthy background. That is why I haven't clicked enough snaps.Originally posted by Greymatter View PostHi, can you please click some more photos of your bike from different angles & post here? Guys, My ZMR is going to complete one year on jan 14th
and i had to renew the insurance policy.I did renew today, but what confused me is the vehicle IDV value ...it is just 77500 for a one year old bike???
.Is such a depreciation common??? my bike is insured with National Insurance by the showroom guy's itself.Does other insurance company impose such a depreciation??

yes it depreciates every year, if you have not claimed anything your premium should go downOriginally posted by xwarrior View PostGuys, My ZMR is going to complete one year on jan 14th

. I had heard there are no depreciation plans for insurance Is it true??? and if so,can i migrate to such plans ??? In no ways i will give my ZMR for a total loss

Excellent photos. By the way which beach is it as your position is not mentioned.Originally posted by sud92 View Post
White color ZMR looks excellent and also feels more modern. Previously the fairing used to look big but i think our eye has adjusted. I think hero should slap on a bigger engine(250), increase the width of tyre and it will surely increase its sell.
Karizma and ZMR are excellent touring machines and ZMR more so.
All in all excellent photos.Photo of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/854067-post963.html-3.88 lac km cont....Ownership review of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/832255-post608.html- slowly updating as and when getting time. i feel there is no need to change the tire because i have done many long trips on my zmr with the stock tire and never faced any issues and have clocked 14k kms and i have also done a top speed of 127kms recently on one of the trip and zmr was stableOriginally posted by insanekid View PostOkay! Stock tires are decent no doubt. Add to that they're hard compound, ie, they can last till 30-35k odd kms.Originally posted by Praj zm View Posti feel there is no need to change the tire because i have done many long trips on my zmr with the stock tire and never faced any issues and have clocked 14k kms and i have also done a top speed of 127kms recently on one of the trip and zmr was stable

They kinda slip in rains and are not confidence inspiring in the hills. For a city rider (not into touring), stock tires shall suffice.
I used the stock tires till ~17k before switching to stickier rubber. These decisions should be taken based on requirements and not on wants/wishes!

Hi guys, am please help me with this query.
I had my bike fallen and broke the right bottom cowl and the V plastic holding the fairing. The silencer portion got a nut loose and the engine had an oil leak after the fall. Gave it for service and my trusted hero service gave my bike back after fixing everything at just Rs. 1200 including labor. The supervisor informed me that, he had just tightened the nut that caused the oil leak and it is still in damaged condition. He had ordered the new nut and it will reach in a week or two. Now after riding for about 500 kms after the fixation, my bike vibrates a lot @ higher revs. Earlier I constantly ride as speeds above 80kmph because mostly my rides are on highways with occasional speed bursts upto 115kmph. I had felt vibrations only somewhere near 50-60kmph and afterwards the bike was smooth as silk. But now, if I take her anywhere above 70kmph, the vibration is evident. Footpegs at both ends vibrates, even footpegs at the back side too. And the bike is getting hotter. Is it due to the oil drop or something? I can still find some oil at the lower opening in the fairing. Please reply guys.
