I too have used it earlier..i bought a Phillips 60/55( yellow) bulb ..imported one...for Rs. 100 and has install it...light was superb...i use it for approx 2 weeks in my ZMR..later i remove it because i start feeling low horns sound when the light was on...may be i was wrong on judging as because on this as horns problems was rectify again by the SVC after that...,.. now after reading all the threads here..i am planning to change it again...

today during traffic light, my bike stalled and when i pressed starter everything on the console disappeared and after 2 seconds the bike started but everything was reset like time, trip etc.

but i later checked bike by starting bike for 4-5 times and it started in notch and no resetting at all.

so why it could have happened at that time along with console getting blank for 2-3 seconds?

Hi,

Even I faced ( or say still facing ) the same issue. My ZMA-R would get resetted when starting in morning or starting when the bike is cold or stalled for a long time. the service centre guy said this could be due to a weak battery or the starting motor issue due to which a lot of power from the battery is taken to start and all gets resetted.

Now during morning I open the the fuel cap to get the air inside to escape and then kick start.

But still get a second thought from your SVC guy.

Agreed price sucks for OSRAM but then why some say a better choice.
Need to check whether anyone using in other Bikes in MUMBAI.

Please do this as a gratitude to ZMR biking fraternity.

But PHILIPs has mixed reactions. This also needs to be explored.

Anmol,

Typical case of loose contact. Probably from Battery.

There might be CARBON accumulation.
Might cause starting Problem in future.

The ODO reading does not Reset while others do.
I guess this is due to some dual memory function set internally.

Mine happened while fitting the REMOTE when battery was disconnected for few minutes.

i haven't been to SVC as i inspected my self by starting the bike for 4-5 times and from starter's sound it seems that battery has enough juice.

ya i also face this in zma-r but only when self is used severely.

hmmm,......i will get my battery connection checked by svc tomorrow and also will take their advise over this.

I am facing the same problem while starting the bike. I also face this problem if the bike is running for very long time like 5 hrs especially in traffic where the bike stops and then when i try to start it refreshes the complete console and shows weak battery life...
My bike is now at the serv centre .. they have kept my battery and charging hopefully it shuold get the problem resolved...
If its a battery problem wonder what will happen when we changed bulbs to higher capacity one

I have done dhakka start twice last month

though with one dhakka it starts easily... but i should not be doing this.

right we shld nt go for any higher Watts, i think as 60/55 W is for 12V so it will nt b any prblm for ZMR, so now need to decide OSRAM NB or Philips XP Moto

In fact this is the reason I am quite livid regarding the Upgrade of Headlights.

I posted plenty of queries in this connection also.

It is better to spend more on

reliable and tested products rather experimenting on other Headlamps.

To be honest I am quite

confused also regarding this Headlamp !!!
