    Warranty POV yes they are.

    Reason:
though the HID kit needs seperate wiring and ballast, this entire setup runs independently and hence will not effect the stock wiring unless you/your mechanic try tapping in on the existing wiring setup. Both the HID and Osram NB run without any extra load on battery/alternator hence it wont effect warranty if anything goes wrong with either.

Word of adivce: stay away from HIDs unless you are opting for an HID setup exclusively for normal reflector type.

I think it is better to install a projector inside the reflector if we opt a HID. This will not bother the on coming traffic.

That's why I use it on Low beams 95% of the time. Only when I get an extremely deserted road do I use the high beam.
Reason: The beam throw is so much better now. Its like the length of the 35w halogen doubled. High beam is hardly needed.

Ya, its a separate wiring. They connect it directly from the battery terminals. Ya, its a normal reflector type HID only.

Yes true. That's why it is NOT encouraged, but it is good to know that we have an option in case of emergency. Doing it regularly will certainly cause harm.

Now, I want to share an incident while returning back from office today.
I had my corona rings and pilot lamps on while returning back at 5:30ish in the evening. They are both blue in shade.

Here's how they look (headlamp is OFF) at night.

I was joining ORR from Mysore Rd when a traffic cop stopped me. He asked me to put on the head lamp thinking I had HIDs (those corona rings do give an impression). I put them on. I loved the nasty expression on his face when he realized that I have halogen head lamps and he could not fine me. He asked me to leave immediately.
            Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

In Single cylinder engine it will not cause harm, while in multicylinder engine there is a possibility...When a battery goes very low that it cannot start the engine, the ECU resets, and has to re-learn. Where Factory defaults are auto loaded under such circumstances, there will be no issue, but where it is not present, back firing, or flooding with excess petrol can happen leading to problems..
I had push started my Mitsubishi Lancer on a weak battery, and no untoward problems had cropped up.Please remember for a Fi petrol engine to start, you need at least 6~8 Volts for a 12 Volts system, for the alternator stator to get energised to supply required power. In modern (Fi)diesels also you require the same to energise the injectors. In Fi cars ,Vans trucks or Buses, with a dead battery the engine cannot start for the above reason..

Guys what if the fuel pump goes bad suddenly when you are in the middle of nowhere? Cause on long rides and in traffic, i have observed that the engine shuts off and starts with a jerking motion when i release the clutch. The only reason can be fuel pump rite? What if this happens when you are on a highway out of city? Will the pump start again if it cools down? Or will it go bad entirely all of a sudden? Hope the latter does not happen.

The pump does give indications like what you have listed...and slowly the occurrences increase and pump fails. Sometimes the pump may work after cooling down, and sometimes will not...If you feel you have fuel pump problems , it is better to get it sorted out before attempting any long rides..the pump is also not available off the shelf, and so most SVCs may not have it .

Then like you said earlier sir, any local guy who services pumps can repair it rite? Cause 11k is the pump's cost and ill have to wait for 6 more months to start earning as I don't like to waste so much cash which is not mine.

Any knowledgeable repair guy who repairs sealed type Fuel Pump can do the repair job...When I had discussed this with the local HH SVC mechanics, they said that it had been done, and were saying the same...

It will take a bit more time for me to confirm if the fault is really of the fuel pump or not. If the occurrences increase in frequency then the guy in jp nagar is my only choice! Ill call you then. Maybe in JAN of FEB.

                                Hey,
I've 2 questions. I was cleaning my bike yesterday & saw rust spots on the exhaust tip & a very small portion of the swingarm joints. I'm used to washing the bike @ intervals of 1-2 weeks.

1). What should be the ideal washing interval?
2). Can I blow dry the bike? I've vacuum cleaner lying around in the house which can blow air as well.
