        • i mean,

i know a RE dealer who has a black Classic 500 to be sold.

This show room is in remote area where no one buys 500 cc at cost 1.5 lakhs.

So that bike is kept in showroom and he needs a owner to own it.

if any one wants a classic 500 in 1 week then i can tell him the address.

              Hey ranjan,
I had booked my CL500 on March 12 and the guys gave me a waiting of 6 months... but the dealer was a great guy... i just booked the bike on phone and internet transactions for booking amount....
Got a call yesterday and they told me that i shall get the bike next week.... that was a surprise... cut down six to four.
              what else do we need.
So you really need to check up on your dealer... and the Regional sales managers seem to be very cordial and interested in their jobs,.... they should be able to help ya out.... give him a call.. and have it sorted out.

              • Hey guyz...I had started a thread in the What Bike section a few days back for bike suggestions. I had narrowed down to RTR 180 and P180. After the suggestions I had settled for RTR180 and was gonna book it. But my mom postponed it coz of the monsoons and so was gonna book it after the rains. Lately i took a bike ride to ratnagiri on my friends Classic 500 and I bowled out!! What a machine....So I asked my dad if we could go for the Classic 500 and voila....he agreed as he had owned a bullet in his youth.. He had suggested my the bullet earlier but I had denied it. So today I booked the Classic 500 at Soniya Motors, Bhandup and was given a waiting period of around 8 months. I'm hoping that the bike gets delivered at the earliest..I am really excited....

                  • Cl500 riding comfort and reliability

                    Hello guys,

I'm one step away from booking a Cl500, my fallback choice being an Electra. I have a couple of questions in this regard.

                    1. How is the seating comfort of the Cl series? The split spring rider seat in particular? The pillion seat feels good, but I have my doubts about the rider seat. Its not as comfy as the Electra, but how does it hold up over a few hours of riding? Any sore bottoms to report? Any mods to overcome the comfort issue if any?

                    2. Many reliability issues on the Cl500 have been doing the rounds on the net and in this forum. We know all RE's have to be worked with, they are not superbly finished products. My question is, is the reliability of the Cl500 comparable to the other Bulls? Or are there any extra reliability issues to be worked with?

                    Any inputs are appreciated!

                    • 1) The spring seat is not as comfortable as electra. But that should not a deciding factor in choosing bulls, U can always change the seats.

                      2) Ya you hear lot of reliability issues, but it never broke down in the middle of the road. Quite powerful compared to the 500lb. But it gets a bit of missing when the fuel is about to go on reserve. That's the only noticeable issue in my bike. So think again and go for it.

                        • Hey

I went to royal enfield company showroom and asked about the classic 500 and the response was that I'd have to wait 8-10 months after booking so I went and bought a p220. How long do you have to wait for your 500?

I was given a time frame of 6 to 8 months. Too long to wait for a motorcycle I agree. But I hear there is a possibility of getting it slightly earlier. RE has increased production of the Classics and the cost of the other models. They're trying to equalize the waiting period for all of their models. Or thats what I was told.
