I think he is asking the OWNERS of the P135LS for their views on how comfortable the bike is...and since he has ridden a Unicorn, he has asked them to use it as a benchmark. I think that's fair. Let the OWNERS help the guy out.Originally posted by veryhiphop View Post

Thanks..
The Suspension on the Pulsar 135LS is a bit firm like all Sporty bikes.. this aids in sharp handling which is great to ride but a bit firm to be ridden.
Test ride it yourself to see if you like it..

The 135 LS is truly upto its name LIGHT SPORTS, the 4 valve technology has certainly done wonders to its performance.Originally posted by Saru44 View PostHi I am planning to buy a new bike n this bike seems a real contender..But i request you owners who had much experience with this bike help me out.I request you to post d pros n cons of this bike as u experienced especially in the seating comfort, riding comfort and if possible post its seating&riding comfort compared to unicorn (as its easy for me to compare as i had ridden unicorn n i really like its seatin n ridin comfort).

And tough a 135cc it can if not overtake can stand upto the shoulders of every other 150cc. The driving position is a sporty one but I got used to it in a week.
The suspensions are firm and aid a lot to its handling. It corners like a rail, super stable (strictly in comparo to other commuter bike).
The engine is capable to pickup from as low as 10kmph in the 5th gear without stalling or knocking.
IMO unicorn and 135 are of different catogeries, unicorn is a superb commuter
and 135 a light sports bike as BAJAJ says.
Its upto you either you want a total sofa on wheels or a chair car both having great capabilities in their departments.
Aha Sorry
The PROS
Great smooth engine.
Good mileage.
New technology.
Looks better than aging unicorn. (IMO)
Greatly improved gear shifts than previous gen Pulsars.
Cons
Sore in A$$ if to be used on rocky terrain(tough can be rectified)
Gets punctured very often at-least mine.Last edited by suhail; 03-25-2010, 09:49 PM.

Ahemmmmmmm.Originally posted by suhail View PostThe engine is capable to pickup from as low as 10kmph in the 5th gear without stalling or knocking.
EVEN R1, CBR1000RR,MV AGUSTA SPR, and M1 will find that impossible to do.
And no bike in INDIA is having such a low ratio 5 gear which can allow that. The Magician"

Oh it certainly does but one needs to rev it upto 2500 - 2700 RPM, it picks up without any jitters.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostAhemmmmmmm.

SORRY if I have set some bikers mind in 5th gear

Hey Suhail.. that sounds incredible!! good to know. I only tried it from 20kmph in 5th gear, and it obliges without any complaints.Originally posted by suhail View PostOh it certainly does but one needs to rev it upto 2500 - 2700 RPM, it picks up without any jitters.

After completing 1000 kms.. I'm much more confident about my choice than when I got my hands on this baby pulsar. It's a completely different experience compared to bigger pulsars. take it to 80kmph.. and it feels like engine is smoother and refined than when it's at 40kmph. At 40kmph.. it sounds pretty relaxed!! but @80kmph it feels like asking you to rev it harder
) I'm enjoying it. Big thanks to Bajaj for producing such mind blowing VFM.

It certainly does may be your clutch timing is not matching but doing this does gives a feeling of clutch frying.Originally posted by nipunblaze135LS View PostImmpossible...........!
atleast my bike can not do it thought it can pick up upwards 18kmph if the accelerator is twisted a bit more.
form 10kmph in 5th gear even the RE will also fear but it can do it.
I can give proof if someone accompanies me cuz I am not used to carry cam in one hand and drive bike from another.
Cant say about the bull, but it surely have loads of torque at tap.Last edited by suhail; 03-29-2010, 10:57 PM.

Suzuki Zeus is a bike that can do 20 KMPH in 5th gear without knocking or what ever such. That's the best we've seen so far. It has a lower top end at 90 KMPH max.
The 125cc Zeus engine produces 8.7 BHP at 7000 RPM and 10nm torque at 3500 RPM.
The Pulsar 135 LS produces 13 BHP at 9000 RPM and 11.4nm torque at 7500 RPM.
Now, if you consider that, to pull in a high gear at very low speeds, you need a strong & linear torque at lower RPM. But the difference between torque in both the bikes at lower RPM is large. The P135's engine is a high revving 4 valve engine that is a little peaky in comparison. It makes most of its power at higher revv range. If it really manages to pull so well at low RPM, it is great. But I am seriously skeptical.

i mean to say that it knocks if picked up from 10kmphOriginally posted by suhail View PostIt certainly does may be your clutch timing is not matching but doing this does gives a feeling of clutch frying.

i have even tried 5kmph it piks up but with knocking
16-17 is the minimum speed where there is no knocking

the fz can do about 15kmph in 5th gear ,i even go over humps in 5th,Originally posted by HydBiker View PostSuzuki Zeus is a bike that can do 20 KMPH in 5th gear without knocking or what ever such. That's the best we've seen so far. It has a lower top end at 90 KMPH max.

fz does 14nm at 6500rpm, even the r15 or the p200 doesnt have the low end pull of the fz.
the torque is now more after putting bigger sprockets.

A friend of a friend of mine has this bike and today I took a test ride of around a km or so. My-my what a wonderful bike, the acceleration was just too good and felt as if she wanted to be revved harder and harder. Didn't take her out of the 3rd cog coz I was in a colony at evening time but What I feel is that she's an awesome awesome bike. Way to go bajaj. Now give the P220 a 4 valve engine too so that I can be happier
On the other hand, one thing I noticed was that the engine almost burnt my right foot (I wasn't wearing shoes). This I never had to encounter with my friend's FZ or Discover. Is the heat excessive in all P135 or was this a one off case? Also, was this due to the fact that the pegs are situated so that the paw of the foot comes right in line with the engine (this statement is for comparison with the rear-sets as in R15)Last edited by Parth; 03-30-2010, 09:37 PM.
