  • 55/60 watt for RTR

Ok thanks for the reply for my last question.

Any one tried 55/60 watt bulb in stock RTR? How is Osaram Shilverstar for RTR? If RTR's 110watt generator is enough for The same? or should we need to rewind the coil?

    Any iDeA?

Am using a 55W Halogen. I have removed the pilots though. But I think u are running ur Headlight on DC, so I guess it should work, but not sure. For safety purposes remove the pilots. U will have to test and post ur experiences here since ur the first person to do it!!

Use full tank to full tank.

                    - get full tank
                    - run for 100/200/500kms
                    - again get it full and the quantity gives you fuel consumed.

                    Then do the maths

Fill upto the brim. Ride around for a good 500 or so kms, now fill the tank again till the brim. Take the amount of fuel filled and calculate it against the distance traveled. Voila! There is ur mileage!!!

                        • had my first accident on the fi.

a pulsar 180 slams into my slowing down bike at a signal. the guy is with a lady pillion and i remember having overtaken him twice before. probably was pissed. worst part was, he hit me and then managed to scoot away before the police or the public came. I was wearing a helmet as always but something left a a long nasty gash on my left hand and a few scratches all over. the public gave me a helping hand, somebody brought me a bottle of water and the police praised me for wearing a helmet.

now to the bike. Broken front left indicator, broken left mirror and thats it. thank god! not even a single scratch.

btw, the 'hit and run' took place on cathedral road, near poes garden. the place is known for high police presence. sad that neither me nor the police could find that b*st*rd.

                          cheers,

Glad that you are safe, and your bike too. Lesson to be learnt: do not overtake twice.
