    My RTR is 1800 kms right now and buy date is 23rd march. Though I attempted 5-10 stoppies, but I dont think that should be reason for springs to loose tension.
    There's lot to it other than saddle....

      But I really want to know about the problems I have been seeing on this forum about FI bikes. Can all of FI users suggest me and Hari Raman if FI is a better buy over an RTR refresh RD? Also @Joel if you have ridden RTR 180 or any else who have ridden it, will it be really better bike than RTR FI?
      Thanks a lot. I was almost pinned to RTR FI before hearing about problems in it and news of RTR 180. And recently R15 has also started giving swing rides in my mind but 1.1lacs feels too steep ..

        HI All,
        Lately i had described problems in my 15 days old Fi. then i took it for first service hoping to get resolved but, to my suprise i feel no difference but worse then problems i had before.here are my queries and let me check if you guys have any opinion regarding the same,
        1) i start my bike early in the morning. Keep it idle for 1 min.. lately started keeping it idle for 2 min. then i pull the clutch lever and engage it to first gear.. puuuuuuuuufffffff.. gone start again put to first gear ... gone.. this happens till 5 or 6 kms. then comes to normal. RPM while idle is around 1.2k .. do u suggest me to increase the RPM to 1.4k. this time i vil not say my problem in service station i will ask for rpm to be increased.
        2) during rainy season (common sight in bangalore these days) rains are pretty heavy. i have reach a destination very urgent. i start and start riding the bike. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound as if no petrol and i pull the clutch to engage it to lower gears, puuuuuffffffffff,,, gone then start again.. again happens in another KM. the question is i fill 500 rs petrol every 15 days. so more or less tank is full. does it mean water is entering inside the tank. i open the fuel lid and i notice a small hole. i was under impression if the water enters the rim it will exit by this hole. but no luck. this i have noticed only when i ride in rain.
        bangalore guys please suggest me TVS showroom who has sound knowledge bout the RTR Fi except megdhooth motors. can i take the bike to other service centers or is it complusory to take it where i purchased the vehicle . does the free service stilll be valid. please confirm.
        the only tension i have is due to this whether im screwing up the Fi system of the vehicle. waiting for input guys. if problem is major next thing im gonna do is take it to service center. please pour in ur suggestions. Also is this problem inclined only to my RTR ...

          There can be two problems in this:
          - your clutch is loose. Just check by keeping it on middle stand and rear in air and pull full clutch and engage first gear. Rear tyre should not roll.
          - RPMs are low along with above problem which means low RPM can't take load of partially engaged gear.

          This may again be related to first one ... but I don't know much about it otherwise.

            1) should be a problem with a low idle rpm.
            2) had seen a similar problem in the Gladiator thread which was resolved. check it out. may get some clues.
            or, all this could be the famous "FI" problems. hope its not so.

            You can take it to any TVS service center. I get it done at Sreehari motors opposite forum. I dont recommend it. according to some posts here in xbhp, zen motors is good.

            • i have completed 1200 kms on my fi......
              i am facing a problem of some wierd noises.....
              some phat phat sound comes from the silencere somtimes and also some sound like trrrrrr.....(like metal coins) come from the back constantly and increases after contantly riding for few kms.....
              and it would be a favour if you could advice any good oil for the next service.....

                  hmmmm.. ok will try megdhooth once again. yeah even i guessed its low RPM. neways hope its noth Fi in fault. let me check with service center tomorrow. hope it doesnt rain today.. im frustrated with the problem... visited galdi thread. but im afraid its not the one as this byke doesnt have carb.. hope im correct..

                    • pegs changed.......

                      Finally i got my pegs changed to the ones from R15...
                      they needed little bit of grinding before they got perfectly fit....

                      i've fitted them without the retractable springs af for now as the springs from RTR was lil' big for the R15 peg....
                      will be cut shorting it and fitting it...

                          It should be of 20W40. Check ur manual for the API and JASO MA ratings.
