    Battery problems??

    well.. I was out of station for 5 days and did not use my FI. When I came back I used the kick start which worked fine. That afternoon when I tried to use the self start, it didn't work !! I tried the horn,indicators while the engine was not running.. horn was inconsistent!! SVC guys told it's battery prob and they need to charge it for 5 hrs .. My doubt is that will the battery drain so fast?? even if it does why isn't it coming back after a run of about 20-25km ??

      Thanks Aparajith & Renny.

      Will get it checked & tightened on my next service.

      The rear brake lever is going very down while applying brakes so I think it might be closer than 15k for the replacement but I hope not

      I am also hearing some new clang when the bike goes over a bump, I dont know how many more niggles I would be facing

        Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

          Love The RtR

          I fell in love with my RtR all over again. the top end of the revband is simply addictive. no bike in india matches it.
          Today, got an over enthusiastic P 180 at the lights. As they turned Green, he went bersek. and suddenly, the boy racer in me woke up, and i nailed it. The bike wheelied under power, but i was able to catch upto him. he upshifted at about 8k to second, and i pulled upto him at 11k at 1st itself!!
          He was upshifting at 8k in each gear, but i could pull up at a lower gear than him uptp 10-11k. I couldnt pass him, but neither could he get away!!!
          At this point, another signal came, and we had to slow down. again the RTR's brake got him. i passed him and braked much later. Was a really rewarding experience, the surge at even 10000rpm is awesome.
          Love the RtR.

          Btw my bike is a carb version.
          Know Ur Limits..

                  your battery plates are gone for sure...
                  report the matter to the sc and if your bike is in warranty,get the battery replaced..
                  i got the same prob and my battery was replaced under warranty....

                    i installed an Osram Nightbreaker the other day on my RTR and its simply fantastic . Even at the 35 watt power its probably getting, the spread is great and light is quite bright as well .

                        just remove inner air filter and put in 107 main jet. u cna kill P180.
                        There's lot to it other than saddle....

                          Major Works must be done by a Competitive Service Centre.Since it is 2 years Old ,You May Ask Other Xbhpians from Bombay to Trace a Good Service Centre(Ideally Authorized TVS Service).

                            After this, how will this affect the mileage? Even after racing against a p180, i still get a mileage of 45+ on stock settings.

                              Hello guys ... one of my Friend want to go for Rtr Efi's Exhaust ..? is it possible to fit Efi's exhaust on carb version ..?
                              Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

                                Though he has to shell out good amount of bucks for a tuned fitment!!
