More rusting
After having seen the paint fading off from the alloys and from the front sproaket cover now the bike gifted me with the new rusted area in the swingarm (at the end), it has rusted real good, so have to scratch the area now and have to paint it.
I have bought a small can of paint and brush. The Magician"

1st part yes, agreed, but I would like to see your review after 1.5K kms.!Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostFor 300 bucks it's the cheapest fully synth oil in the market and comparitively very good too, i just filled my bike with it and have done 100kms.

Bro, I also have seen a good amount of rusting at the bottom of the exhaust pipe (just near the brake pedal). What kind of paint should I use which can withstand high temperatures? Or do I have to powder-coat itOriginally posted by rennycornelius View PostAfter having seen the paint fading off from the alloys and from the front sproaket cover now the bike gifted me with the new rusted area in the swingarm (at the end), it has rusted real good, so have to scratch the area now and have to paint it.

After your review with it in your F2, i have a little doubt in my mind with itOriginally posted by Sarvajit View Post1st part yes, agreed, but I would like to see your review after 1.5K kms.!
as RTR shares almost the same engine family as the F2, will be checking the oil level timely.
and lets see how it performs...
For silencer the best is to get it powercoated, i've bought a normal black paint (asain paints), as it's almost an inch of a area that got rusted in the swingarm.Originally posted by indianz_alive View PostBro, I also have seen a good amount of rusting at the bottom of the exhaust pipe (just near the brake pedal). I have used the petronas sprinta5000(FS) for approx 500 kms nw and i havent felt any major change. the bike engine has the same level of refinement as before and gears shifting has become somewhat hard. with a prominent "thak "sound being emmited sometimes wen i shift gears. overall i hav not yet found a reason to believe that this oil is bter than other mineral oils and tru4.If the need arises shud i top-up with semisynth oil or use only FS oil.
Had a narrow shave today. I was goin @50-60kmph when suddenly a goods carrier auto standing on the side of the road suddenly started and tuk a sharp turn and came into d middle of the road.
I applied d brakes and tyres were screeching and bike came to a halt only after a few moments during which bike's rear wobbled and i was dead scared for a second as i had an bike accident earlier on this bike only which left me with a broken left collar bone and 3 months of no biking
. I fortunately managed to stop safely and ave a mouthful to that driver. F@#%$^& autowallahs
. I was saved by god's grace
be careful of the autowallahs guys

Engine shuts down
Hi all,
Am new in here had been a passive follower for about a month...
I got my bike in mid November, and i have done 3800kms now.
My bike was alright uptill 3000kms but from there after I experience frequent engine shut downs not only when i loose up the accelerator but also at constant acceleration with a noisy breath out in the silencer and when i pull the elecric start, the engine shoots back to the actual RPM it was running in ( on average it shuts down twice in a 13kms trip to my office).
is that because of imbalance in the combustion mixture ratio / worn out part in engine??
The electric start works good with some acceleration which is quiet normal, i think.
I will have to take it for the third service in about 12 days / 400 kms.
Is there something to look at, in the service this time?? (I usually take it to Ramkay adayar, Chennai)
What could be the reason for engine shutting down and what could be done to come over it?
Besides this I will upload some pics in the album as soon as poss

What about the clutch play?? Is it allright??Originally posted by RedApple View PostEver since i switched to Motul fully synthetic on the last oil change ive been having a LOT of problems with the gearshift. Shifts are banging, im getting a lot of false neutrals (especially from 1 to 2-skips to 3 or just goes to neutral and stays there). What could be the problem here?

And if it is, check the shifter springs. The Magician"
