its time to decarbonize the engine &no need to change the valve but u have to lap the valves for perfect seating Then valve oilseals must replaced & have to check rings (especially oil rings) this is enough for next 20'000kms

The SVC guys are correct. The white smoke doesnt have anything to do with the fuel injector. White smoke is the sign of fried valve seats. Check it whether you need to replace the valves or just the valve seats.Originally posted by sunny9830687955 View Postis it possible that the debris which gets deposits in the pump passes with the flow of petrol from pump to fuel filter and then clogs the injector ??
if yes then what should I do to prevent this ?? and what are the signs to understand that the injector needs to be clean more over
yesterday went for a ride with my fellow kol xbhpians for around 90-90 = 180 kms and when I was cruising at around 80-90 and some time doing 100 kmph my friend found white smoke was coming out from exhaust
though the amount of smoke was less after that I stopped and even in standing position if I rev hard then also smoke was coming out
I am confuse
what could be the prob, few guys are suggesting me to get the injector clean, bike is not even running in lean. bike done 18789km and petrol using is extra premium. the svc guys are telling me to get piston cylinder head decarbonised
and to replace the valves
and when I am saying to clean the injector , they r just avoiding and saying cleaning is not needed
guys please need help
thanks in advance brothers
It does have a filter element.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostYes, pump isn't a filter,if any micro particle which escaped from the filter will be thrown at the injector.
To get your injector safe from all this replace the fuel filter at every 4500-5000kms.

Even I heard that the smoke may come from the exhaust due to the steel wool kinda thing in the exhuast!Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostYes, pump isn't a filter,if any micro particle which escaped from the filter will be thrown at the injector.

Fuel Pump
After searching a lot on Internet i got more confused about ++in humming sound on my bike's Fuel Pump so finally i decided to call TVS and ask reason for this fuel pump issue and guess what i got reply that our fuel pump has life of 2lacks kms and they are well tested before Pump is installed in our RTR-EFI .And there are almost 0 chances of fuel pump failure. Yaaayyyyyy...>!
m feeling so relax after i heard this .
And they told me that due to chocked fuel filter ur getting this increased noise from Fuel pump . chocked fuel filter disturbs fuel flow and it puts extra load on pump...so CULPRIT is Chocked FUEL FILTER...
feeewwwww........!!!!
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

Not "Steel Wool", it's glass wool, used to iron down the noice,and it wont produce white smoke, infact it never produces any smoke when it gets fcuked over the period of time.Originally posted by haxor View PostEven I heard that the smoke may come from the exhaust due to the steel wool kinda thing in the exhuast!

FInally, got the RTR 180 Rear fender installed on my bike. it really saved my bag and my jacket from all the muck and slush!
Did a 580kms ride on sunday......avg was around 37kmpl....hit 134kmph once. Touched 130kmph after 31 march 2008. Motul 300V was excellent...it almost elliminated all the vibes....it was fun to ride. One stage i almost covered 100kms under an hour!
My bike crossed 55k kms mark! Time to change the rear tyre and chain kit.(chani lasted only for 11k kms this time
)

What if i short the both the +ves (lighting and charging) coming out of stock RR unit and give them to +ve of battery and lamp?
Will the two coils will work as power sources in parallel to supply 55/60 headlamp?

even in owners manual it is written that after 18000km decarbonization is needed but do you know that what are the things needs to be replaced in engine and what kind of work needs to be done in engine to decarbonize it as svc guys saying that piston rings are also needs to replaced
that means the whole engine needs to open up

if you pour some oil in exhausts then white smoke comes out from the exhausts, generally Ive seen few owners of pulsars ( classic & ug I & II ) used to pour some amount of oil in the exhausts as to prevent the exhausts from getting rust or if the piston is kaput then also smoke comes out

boss do you have any official no. or contact of any tvs engineers who I call and ask if I am facing any problem and moreover I don't believe TVS svc guys as they always ask me to keep the bike for 2-3 days and after that they ask for another 2-3 days even for tuning which is 5 min work, they ask me to keep my bike for one day
as it is FI so it need time WTF

yes i do have a NO . well exactly he's not engg from tvs but he's head(not owner ) of 2-3SVC's in mumbai and has decent knowledge. What kinda tuning they do on Efi..? i mean in past 42k kms i hardly remember that my mech connected my bike to comp as it was never needed...and just to tune it thru Comp if they ask u to wait for 2-3 days its not goodOriginally posted by kk_RTR View Post

@sunny9830687955
No need to open full engine, only the head assy and linear no need to seperate the crank case or else,Btw their is no harm to dismantle the head after done 18-20000kms its must after done all jobs perfect be to right fitting of the engine thats all
