Come on!! We can very well use normal fuel as well. What is the compression ratio of the P-220? I am pretty sure it is not 12.xx:1 or more!! These PBK guys!!

Ideally a higher octane petrol would be nice to use for this fuel injected mill...

I have been using Speed 97 from day one in my P-220 and it has done around 3 tankfuls till date. The plus point with such premium fuel (Speed 97) apart from the higher octane rating is that the quality is assured. Since this is dispensed from the company owned fuel stations (at least in Pune).

Moreover, I have been using the same fuel for my other bikes too...and have found that they run cooler and are less prone to knock...

You can most definitely try a tankful of all that you have stated just to compare which suits your riding needs. One word of advise...try the Speed 97 after you have tried all others. In Pune, Speed 97 retails at Rs. 70/liter.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

I have quite a good experience as far as quality work done at Reddy's...... but the costs of parts and labour is almost on par with bajaj service centres. And I would suggest you to get work done there.... I dont know abt the paint jobs.... but Sumit's (dragster) bike was completely redone there.... and engine was painted black.... now its more than 2yrs and 35k+ kms since then.... and still the black paint on the engine pretty intact.

Btw.... Bajaj PBK, Turbhe charges 3.5k for the black painting (except the engine...everything else)

Is it possible to fit RTR's disc in P220? Will it affect the braking? Look wise, i believe it will look gr8.

                Your opinion

                  • @johh: Change of rear tyre at just 14k? Isn't it supposed to run more?

prolly the torque is not letting it run more, eating up all the rubber.

Some cool effects there with the P220 Pics John... which Software did you use..??

I have done around 13,000 Kms on my P220. Even in my case I would need to replace the chain and sprocket set during the next service.

                        @ Aryan,

the tyre wear would depend upon how the tyre has been used/absued so far.

The center tread of the rear tyre of my P220 has worn off... the dry grip is still there though. Would go a new set of tyres just before the next monsoon.
