Hmm.... I was asking you about the same Starter thing... the sounds which used to come when Starter was cranked (not the chain sproket thing)..... some kar-kar sound. Thats why they changed your
    "Roller Cluth
    Spring Starter
    Bush Spring
Bush for spring".... same happened with mine... got same things changed and got a bill for 900 bucks ..lol again same .... but then the bike came out as a smoother machine (starter cranking smoothly too).... absolute smooth... believe me... its smoother than whatever I've ridden till date... makkhan... and ya they also did something called "Balancer Shaft Overloading" which reduced the vibes at higher rpms.. resulting in a smoother feeling.

      • @All P220 owners-Two new things will be changed under warranty on all the 200/220's and Avenger so make sure you get it replaced from your nearest PBK

1)A new de-clutch switch. You can easily make out the difference. It will look fatter than the earlier one.

2)A new solenoid.According to PBK this one will solve the cold start problems and also the slack performance of the bike when the engine is not hot.It will also solve the problem of bike not pushing above 7-8k r.p.m(Many people are facing this problem).

Also according to the new guidelines PBK guys are setting CO at 3+ nowadays.

In Delhi it cost around 900+taxes.My bike is 13k odd kms and the chain/sprocket is good for another 8-10kms although my rear tyre is more or less gone.

Done 6th servicing and my bike is running like anything. The acceleration is so sharp that I sometime mistake it to be a higher cc bike.Any other Delhi/NCR member are most welcome to check my claim.

@payeng-Need to check your bike again.

Written document is not possible but there is a solution for the above problem.

Tell him to open any of the new P220's side cover(Left one) and point him the new solenoid.Similarly show him the new de-clutch switch on any of the new bike.If he is still adamant then we can see what can be done.

If you have the bike with white dial then it should have the solenoid but not sure about the de-clutch thingy.

Yup mine has the white digital console and removable reverts on the exhaust. If you could provide the pic of the to be replaced parts it could be more helpful.

Not only the 220, the P-200 has also got those "new" rivets on the exhaust AND that ugly white tacho as well..
                            :)

With the removable reverts you can change the exhaust shield separately in case of damage but with the older versions they were not removable.

@Aryan:Yup even I didnt like those white console!!!

I know! The majority of "new" P-200/220 owners that I know of do not like the new white tacho, but apparently Bajaj does and hence we HAVE to live with it somehow!
