1)A new de-clutch switch. You can easily make out the difference. It will look fatter than the earlier one.

2)A new solenoid.According to PBK this one will solve the cold start problems and also the slack performance of the bike when the engine is not hot.It will also solve the problem of bike not pushing above 7-8k r.p.m(Many people are facing this problem).

Also according to the new guidelines PBK guys are setting CO at 3+ nowadays.

Done 6th servicing and my bike is running like anything. The acceleration is so sharp that I sometime mistake it to be a higher cc bike.Any other Delhi/NCR member are most welcome to check my claim.

I haven't been able to make time for a ProBiking Service Visit. Plan to make a visit in the next few days.

Has anyone else got the above mentioned parts replaced..??

      • something beside the battery was changed, i think that was the new solenoid...but i never faced any cold start problem. the bike initially refused to go above 8k but after few co settings it was ok and it always went till 10.5k. i don't feel any difference after the change

        • Hypothetical: Safety device for P220

The Pulsar 220 has a roll on sensor that cuts off fuel supply and ultimately doesn't let the engine start. Now from my understanding, this is to avoid the engine running while the rider is kissing tarmac right?

I was also wondering, what good would it be in case the rider was injured in the crash, with no help in sight? Would it be too much to ask for a device that sends out a signal via the riders mobile phone to a speciality cell managed by the motorcycle company/traffic police who can in turn home in on the device location and offer help to the injured rider by dispatching the nearest ambulance?

I think there would be better ways of transmitting the singal than via Mobile phones, which would be useless in remote areas without network coverage, which is how it is for almost half the journey while touring the country. In house electronic experts please shed some light on this...

Also, to avoid false alarms, provision should be made to key in vehicle registration number to de activate the alarm. If the keyed in number matches with that corresponding to the one in the database managed by company/police then they can ignore that particular distress call.

For my college project we had made a product concept of a helmet that will send out GPS location and distress signal in case of an event....

Sadly they remained as a concept itself....!

It only cuts the engine when it goes more than 40-45 degrees from vertical.Once you get it up after the crash it restarts without any problems.

To confirm this , do it at the service center. It will always work.

It is supposed to work like that. In my case, it didn't. Last Mon or Tues had a minor accident (already posted in this forum). So bike stalled (engine off, but lights & indicator were working)while it laid on the road. Restarted it, but then bike wont go above 4k rpm. Had difficulty in pulling it on Fly overs. Speed limited to 45kph only. So gave a call to MG. He confirmed that there is a roll-over sensor which is supposed to get activated, which it had, but should get de-active once I restart it. So next day, straight to PBK, rectified within half an hour.

4K is ok. At the max i believe 5k. 10k is a market gimmick.
