The other day I went to Turbhe PBK, and told them about the handling cone set issue, the mechanic took it for some pretty long ride, came back and said, its normal.... .. but I know its not !!!.... sadly I cannot do anything. I'll probably have to show it at some other PBK next time.... bajaj and bajaj service suxxx bigtime.
areey ask him to rip the bike and apply sudden and hard front brakes or take the bike through some small potholes and then brake only the front disc, the problem starts I had been to Vasai today halfway till traffic I didnt feel the issue but on highway while running hard at 90+ I could feel it.. The issue doesnt start till the bike running on smooth roads. It starts when the ride is bumpy and u still rip on those roads. Atleast this is what happens for my bike. If u still wanna get it done come to Sai Service Andheri and meet the mech Shiva there. He knows what im talking abt.

Also if I remember even praful had this issue didnt u praful ??

I'll go down to PBK after diwali days.... will bug the mechanic again ...

Btw.. Praful... was it the same issue u were facing of handling, swinging on both sides, like a pendulum. The handle feels heavy and bike moves to one side, and then to the other side... like a pendulum.?? What was the solution??

        • ^^^ guess the PBK guys have been told to give such ridiculus reasons ...
in my case the rear disc still makes the annoying sound sometimes .... and its really loud, its so embarrasing in traffic .... the PBK guys have already replaced the disc pads twice now ... when bugged they say "disc brakes main ye hota hi hai".... am like wat crap my P150 has front disc since past 5 yrs no issues wat so ever !
then the guy says .... a superior visits once every month and when he comes he'll call me . WTF !
have i bought this bike or they are doin some meherbani on me ???

BAJAJ PBK Service center sucks !!!!

Is Bajaj listening ?? am just praying when they come out with Ninja atleast Kawa will provide with diff SCs.

Question : how long does the clutch plates of 220 usually lasts ?
and how do u come to know when they are worn out ? is it just pick up issues ?

the cost of the tyre is INR 1500/- in Mumbai. Cant say abt wet grip bro, but yeah the overall braking has changed tremendously for good. One thing that I have noticed that the contact patch of the VYDE is a little less than the Zapper FS. However the sharp turns are now much more confident.

Yep, the MRF Vyde has a "Rounder" Profile compared to the Stock MRF Zapper that the P200/220 comes with.

With proper air pressure, this should be good for there would be lesser rolling resistance.. cornering should not be an issue because of the rounder sides.

But the rounder profile also makes the Vyde look slimmer compared to the the Stock MRF Zappper (although they are of the same 120/80 profile)

areeey dada dont get angry... just go to a normal mechanic and ask him to open the entire caliper and clean the brake pads properly... to make sure if doesnt make that stupid noise again you need to clean the rear disc on a weekly basis ( thats what I do ) use pressure cleaning at the top opening of the caliper and then use do a little pump braking to drain off the water. This trick really works bro try it.

yea bro this is one of the options which i also follow but again this is wat we call in IT as "thuk patti "
my argument is its not the first time we been using disc brakes .... and for past 10K kms i had no issues wat so ever its just after 5th service when they changed the disc pads this has started happening.

                    @chetan : y MRF y not mich ? or pir ?,
Also i contacted the guy (motul lubes) he said ki thrs huge shortage of motul lubes. he also suggested to ask at Yamaha SC cause they hav ordered a huge lot it seems.
BTW, how was the dhaba G2G ?

Exaclty. My new 220 also (2800 kms old ) this sound. As the rear disc is not covered, dust tends to settle in there & thus the noise. Clean the disk regularly as mentioned & it should reduce a lot.

                      Happy riding bro!

Sorry for the late reply, mitesh.

Haan yar, I have done the black profiling and no, the all warranties stand. I contacted a pro-biking manager who gave me the contact and the details about where to do.

On the contrary, everything except the engine was stripped. The engine was not touched. Because if you do remove the engine, it is then that the warranty gets void. All the other parts were painted black separately.

As of now, all my default warranties are there, plus there is a one year warranty on the paint from the garage where I painted.

Here are the links. Sorry they are not so high-res.
