Agreed it looks thinner but so far the grip is decent and seems like it holds corners pretty well too.

Thanks for bringing this up. Been longing to ask about this : Pilot Sport 90/90, as i have the same installed for the front of my 220.
Could you please emphasize as to what were the issues that you faced with the MPS?

Though it does provide good cornering grip, these are my complaints :
It fares very bad on a rough terrain / loose gravel / freshly laid rocks on the road (just before they put Tar)
It splashes a lot of water, dont know if its just me but MPS splashes a lot of water directly to my feet/shoes.

So now, how does the Zapper FQ fair in comparisioin to MPS, and whats the profile/size?

It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

The Pilot sporty is good only when you are riding on good tarmac and the tyre is quite hot. For every other condition its horrible, one of the tyres with the worst wet grip I've ever used. Even on regular city roads the tyre used to loose grip at the slightest hint of hard braking. And after about 5K kms, the tyre kept loosing air despite no punctures being present. 'Controlled' skids is the only way that can be used to describe my experience with the tyre

Too pre-mature to comment about the Zapper FQ, I have had it on only for 2 days/150 Kms. I think its at par with the stock Zapper FS, but then I've not used the FS since 2009.

Sorry to but in, but I have been using 5100, and believe me its gem, smooth...300/7100 haven't tried cos I am bit reluctant to go full synthetic.

300V is the best I have used till date, but over the past few years its become freakin expensive. So I use 5100 as its more VFM. JC road there are plenty of shops which sell Motul, in fact most Bajaj SVC centres also stock motul now.

Tyres again JC road is your place. Stick to stock if your are mostly riding in city.

            Why CDI?

You will need to refill anywhere from 1100-1300ml of oil. So you need to buy minimum 2 cans of 1ltr.

Yes I've sent and got excellent response... 5-7 years back.

The Fi went out of production 4 years back, you should be happy that at least Bajaj still is agreeing to service an out of production bike.

Thanks for your reply. And I am sorry for being late. I do want to keep it in FI mode but unfortunately neither do we have good Bajaj Mechanics nor mechanics are serious about FI bike.

Can you suggest any good mechanics in Bangalore?

For mechanical bits I go to local mechanics, but for electronics/tuning/fuel pump I go to PBK (AutoService, Banashankari)

                                Hi Praful

Thanks for your quick response. I have also visited AutoService for servicing last time. Rather that was also happened to be my first visit. Overall experience was good at least better than any Bajaj Servicing centers. But there also I found lack of parts like Fuel Pump. Can you please share the name of your Servicing Mechanic? And if you do not mind asking you about your next visit to AutoService so that I can also try to schedule a visit and have a discussion on how to keep my FI healthy.
