Castrol Gear oil....don't remember the exact specs though!

The entire bottle will prolly last the lifetime of your bike, the whole 157/- bucks of it!

Well I read on this thread only that the guyz are using OKS 451.

I have experienced this in not only that pump, but almost every time i tank up; moreover i am quite sure the pulsar's tank can hold 18+ litres when empty

Since u own a Fuel injected bike, U have to hold min of 3 litres of fuel in there for efficient working of the fuel injectors. So, i guess u wouldnt have come across that figure while tanking up, the tank being almost empty
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

          +1..
it holds 18.6x litres to be precise.. even i have filled up that figure two times... The tank has to be almost dry for that... only ~200ml left..

A P220's tank does take up 18+ liters. In fact, saw it multiple times that other Pulsars can take in 18+ liters of fuel.

BTW, my R15 has a 1.9 liter reserve and gives a mileage of around 40 KMPL. I have driven the bike for 70+ kms after coming to reserve... at least thrice so far. I'm stating this because I'm hearing the minimum fuel requirement for FI bikes repeatedly these days.

Also, my Swift ran out of petrol once and we couldn't extract even a wee bit more of fuel in the tank then. I tested this because people were arguing that the MPFI pump needs minimum petrol / pressure in the tank!

Err.. my P220 doesn't have a reserve knob.. so have to rely on the low fuel indicator bulb to start flashing.

I have often heard about maintaining a minimum quantity of fuel in cars/bikes which have fuel injection (and therefore a fuel pump)...

I am not sure if its an Urban legend but then I am not ready to take a chance to mess up the Fuel Pump or to push a 150 Kg bike all the way to a petrol pump. Anyway what's the big deal in going for a tank top up once the low fuel indicator starts flashing.. and ride peacefully for 400-500 kms.

chame to chame here.... for the R15 the reserve count starts when the final fuel level bar starts flashing... before flashing, the bike checks the level to be steady for 5 KMs... same happens when u fill fuel.... the reserve KM count meter disappears when the petrol level is above reserve for 5 KMs steadily.

                    • Our beloved 220 can eat the cars unless its a GQ. I have had some really nice and sportive panga's with cars.....i love it !!
I love it more when its night and sigle lane dividerless highway

I have filled more than 15 ltrs many times (atleast 10 times till now !!)
                      Highest has been 18.2 ltrs.
I ran out of fuel once. Filled it back and no issues with fuel pump !!

Checked out GPS calculations today while going to office.
Distance shown in odo = 26.5 kms, distance according to GPS = 26.5 kms !!!!
Top speed indicated by speedo = 110 kmph, top speed according to GPS = 110.6 kmph !!
                      I wasn't expecting so much accuracy ..

                        • 220's speedo can't show 110.6 so it showed only 110 - no decimal figures.
I knew there was fall in speed indicated after IRC tyre, but didn't know it corrected the error
yeah, i had updated my phone firmware last weekend. After that its working..there are some really good new applications with the update .

                            • Thnx everyone.....and I've gotta say....its not a bike its a beast....

Had fun racing cars on the highway......they gotta know....no messin with the beast.....

One more question, can starting the bike via central lock's remote damage the bike in any way...??? 'coz while starting it normally there's a self check done and after that I press on the electric start button but in case of a central lock there's no self-check done......????
