I somehow had a feeling that the BOOSTER wouldnt work.
Now stick to stock unless u find a good engine tuner who can design one.

    @ vid_powerstroke
A very simple and nice explanation on the working of a free-flow.

Has anyone done 126 in 4th?
    Mine is 129 on 4th gear at rev-limiter cut-off.

U guys are so so so so proud of ur top end .... we'll start off with acceleration now ... what are ur best 0-100 timings ? thats what matters in the city or anywhere.... i suppose...

@Vidya: Just checked acceleration today, was hitting about 112kmph in 400 mtrs.
Thats a nice exit speed keeping the Sirac in mind.

    +1..
FI has got better roll-ons. And the power surge can be felt.

acceleration and topspeed with sirac and 37t

now my bike takes long thie to hit 100 and does 136kmph@9000rpm in 5th gear that too in a small downslope

will changing rear sprocket from 36 to 37t help in acceleration .

          Roller Bench figures

0-60 - 4.5 seconds (this can be lesser, mech can't shift properly)
          Topspeed - 144kmph

Putting the 37T will certainly improve acceleration. If you don't care much about topspeed you can even put the P200 38T sprocket, that will give you as much acceleration as bike with a stock tyre.

            • Today went to pbk for getting a few things done. The one way clutch was supposed to be broken. But NO. It is working fine. Came to know that only after everything was opened and checked. My bike's silencer is gone. Makes noise of a metal piece inside. Also high beam has cracks. Will get them both under warranty soon. Planning for getting them when my bike would be serviced next time. That would be just before the time when it either clocks 20k mark officially (crossed 25k long back ) or becomes an year old (this would be on Jan 24th). Huge amount of work to be carried out then.
Presently my bike is on a very poor state of tune. Planning to hire a pollution check vehicle, take it to pbk and get the bloody AFR adjusted.

guys why dont one of our members design a nice freeflow exhaust for the 220 Fi?. in my view, JOEL is the right person. he has the potential to design & manufacture and can sell it online to members. these "Booster" thing which is being discussed since 2 or 3 pages is utterly useless. it simply increases the exhaust note to a bass tone & sure it does tremendous damage to the engine. So.... JOEL we are waiting for your comments & views on this topic.please come in.

ya, he did it, and i'v ridden his bike too. but what prabhakar did is he removed all the inner things of the exhaust. sure the bike's torque increased to satisfying level. but purposefully designing a free-flow is completely different. as u know, it will be done by taking into account the engine characters which will help the exhaust gases to flow freely which increases the torque tremendously & at the same time do lesser damage to the engine.

                        • Spoke with Joel about developing an exhaust for the 220 - Both FI & the new SI.
After speaking with him I understood it is too complicated & expensive.
However He is ready to do that but need some numbers to make it possible.
I already have 2 orders for that.
Once I get 5 confirmed orders I'll be asking Joel to make them.
If any 1 from here are interested they can PM me.

                              • It'll come down if we can order in bulk as the material & fabrication costs will be lower.
