glass wool is pretty cheap...every exhaust has a filling of it...muffles the sound better..

    hei bhai how u ?
    in brief ?? ok......

    normal exhaust..
fuel and air mixture goes inside chamber..gets burned..
exhaust gases come out...go to catalytic converter..harmfull gasses are converted into water vapour etc etc... and goes thru a series of chambers in the exhaust for the sound to be muffled... then u hear a little PUrrrr sound of ur exhaust...

    normal exhaust disadvantage,
by the time the old burnt gasses are out, new exhaust gas is again formed in the exhaust pipe....continuously engine is working right ??gas not passing out FAST..... so lesser performance.. hahahah at this time im thinking bout the human body ...wonder why !!!

but normal exhausts are tuned for efficiency and soft sound....

    free flow exhaust
fuel and air mixture goes inside chamber..gets burnt..gasses come out... now no catalytic converter to filter harmful gasses....
gasses go onto next chamber where there is nothing to muffle the sound...so BUD BUD BUD sound....

    advantages....
LOvEly bullet like thump... very well tuned exhausts bring out the best from ur engine... normal ones sometimes will kill Ur engine or will put out less performance than before...u should know what ur doing for these things...

    disadvantages..
more sound... compromise engine life..... misfiring... moreover because of absence of catalytic converter , harmful gases not filtered..
what u would you prefer living with ?? Your Choice....
yo..it got rivets..will handle it to local mech soon...as well ur post helped me unknowingly as well lol..i dont even know tht much...thank you bhai..

@truelypulsarian: concept...theres no concept in locally made boosters... ..

Guys, the 220 dts-i is geared differently and different amount of speedo error, so there is no point in comparing the Fi Vs Dts-i speedo/rpm reading.

ya, thats the reason i booked & waited for almost 20 days to lay my hands on DTS-Fi even though the deliveries of DTSi started at PBK (its told that the DTS-Fi will be available only against booking). sure the DTSi may have the top end, but when it comes to 0-100 timings and especially roll-on acceleration, no bike in its class comes close to the DTS-Fi.

+1000 to that. DTS-I kinda sucks in roll on!

Yes yes, But has any body thought, what would be the 0-100 of a Dtsi modded to FI sprocket set??

You guys need to wait for the Dts-i's engine to bed in, if properly ridden I am pretty sure the Dts-i will easily keep up with the Fi till 100. If not keep up it won't be more than a bike length behind.

Beyond 100 the Dts-i goes mad so questions there...

My bike with the Sirac is almost similarly geared as using a 36T sprocket and still the acceleration is marginally faster than the dts-i. So using the 37T on the Dts-i will mean that it will definitely keep up with the Fi once the engine has properly bed in. The Dts-i will be kill everything if you use the 40T ZMA rear sprocket, but top speed will be limited to somewhere around 120 and chances of over revving and bending the crank will be high.
