15-20 is too low , just make sure if the fuel is not leakingOriginally posted by prafultripathy View PostGuys good news, my bike is now a Swift diesel!
Its given me between 15-20 kmpl the last two times I filled fuel!
Got it re-tuned yesterday, so I hope its back to normal now. Another fuel up will only tell.
PS: The 'old boy' is still hitting 138 on the roller bench!

roller bench is cool , makes you think you can go that fast

The mixture was very rich, plugs were all black. CO has been set to 2.6 now. Lets see how it works out!_________________________

My bike has been returning a fuel efficiency of 22-25kmpl for the last one year.
May be because of my riding style ( I shift at about 10k rpm)
But after I collected the bike back from pbk after repairs ( I had an accident in march and bike was with the pbk for about 1.5 months) it is still returning a fuel efficiency of around 25kmpl but the problem is, it now struggles to cross the 125kmph mark L
I think its time to change the chain sporket, or may be cut a link form the chain…
but still i'm not sure how much impact chain can have...Pics link: http://picasaweb.google.com/flyingabhi

Why don't you try checkout a different PBK.
Moreover, constant 10K shifts will kill your engine. Why don't you try a more sedate riding style for 1-2 tankfuls and see if you get 30+ mileage!!!_________________________

Riding style hugely affects the mileage. I would advise you to get the CO setting done and also keep a check on your riding style!Originally posted by flyingabhi View Postor may be i'll try getting the ecu settings checked...it has been quite a while since it has been adjusted...

I had the privilege to clock the 20000th KM on ArmourOfGod's P220 and on the return journey clock 10000th on my R15Originally posted by payeng View PostMy bike will cross 20,000 Kms in a couple of days.
BTW The reason I am on this thread was if you guys are confident with the stock rubbers on the p220 or if you guys have switched to something else...

The stock rubbers are just about ok till the first 5K kms, after which it progressively starts to get scary. The biggest cause for this is the rear tyre, the front tyre offers decent amounts of grip!Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostI had the privilege to clock the 20000th KM on ArmourOfGod's P220 and on the return journey clock 10000th on my R15

IRC's being softer and slightly different sizing do offer better grip (Atleast as per the guys using them here!)
I have had the opportunity of trying out the Bridgestone Battlax on the 220, and I can say is that with those tyres the bike doesn't handle like a 220!!!Last edited by Praful; 06-17-2009, 04:29 PM._________________________
