i had the same kind of problem, the bike would stop while running and wouldnt restart .i have to switchoff the ignition and then wait for a minute or two, after that the bike would start. but lately the problem become frequent , so i changed the fuel filter, sparkplug , the fuel line , but again the problem would recur. finally i asked them to check roll over sensor, it was found to be defective. after replacing the sensor the bike is running fine.so get the roll over sensor checked and replaced as well. it costs rs.190Originally posted by Mik View PostGuys. The bike performed pretty well except for a peculiar issue.
Sometimes when i eased the throttle, the bike suddenly lost power and eventually died down. Initially this was happening at low rpms only but day before yesterday it happened at about 6k rpm too.
I needed to switch the bike off completely and then restart to get it moving again. This happened about 4 or 5 times everyday over the 10 day ride. Any ideas ?
Ofcourse, after the battering it received- the bike is now making all sort of weird noises

Bhayya, is there an option for us to buy this diagnostic tool..? As you know, there isnt a pbk here, the svc guys says there isnt a technician trained to use the tool provided to them...Originally posted by Praful View Post

By the way, I took a long route to another tyre shoppe for the Sirac, Unfortunately it isnt available yet, and the guys say they dont know when the next stock comes... It was 2900INR when it was sold here last time.....Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

AFAIK the diagnostic tool isn't sold off the shelf to end users! After the MH ride I had to change my Sirac too.. on unavailability kept the options open for other 120/80 profiles too..._________________________________________________

Need INFO: the gear ratios
Brothers...i have googled for it, but somehow couldn't find the right data. I was looking for the gear ratios for the DTS-Fi model...For R15, the Yamaha website has clearly specified these details, but for our bike surprisingly there's nothing in any site. If anyone knows the gear-ratio values, kindly post them here.

Even if you guys get the diagnostic tool you will need a CO testing machine to tune the bike! Max you can do is check which sensor is in ON state, adjust idling etc, make AFR rich/lean!
Looks like the P220 Fi's are a dying breed now Not much problems being posted
Here's a recent pic of bike just to liven up the thread a bit
Things needed to be done on my bike :-
1. New Rear Tyre - Sirac - Will change immediately
2. New Front Tyre - PSD - Need a change in 2-3K kms
3. New Silencer - This one has lasted 25K Kms, too many times welded it and fixed it. Now it just does not hold, time to get a new one. Damn thing costs 9K.
4. Vibes - Clutch needs to be opened and looked at, there is a lot of buzzing from the handle bars and pegs at high speeds_________________________

I have change the Throttle body for Missfiring & ideal RPM Issue, now my bike is fine. I have clocked more then 58000KM, Any specific part Interval after 50000KM???I know i'm slow But i'm still ahead of u!!!sigpicComment
