    I had exactly the same problem in my bike for past few weeks. During cold starts the bike wouldnt start. A push start was required. Had this problem throughout our week long Maharashtra trip. After coming back from the trip the battery died. After changing the battery now its starting fine with a single push without the wired sounds.

    Btw even my bike is 3 years old and 32k kms done without a battery change

    And adding to Yuvi's post . We loved touring on our 220s throughout the ride. Not able to see the pics posted by yuv right now.

    @Yuv : can you post the 220 special pics??

          Thanks for the update. Though frankly, i have changed the roll over sensor 4 times including the last change 2 weeks back ! Lets see if its gone bonkers again.

            4 times in two weeks??

            Then the problem is definitely not with the roll over sensor! What all sensors are in 'ON' state in the diagnostic tool?

              Bhayya, is there an option for us to buy this diagnostic tool..? As you know, there isnt a pbk here, the svc guys says there isnt a technician trained to use the tool provided to them... I might write to Bajaj or any other option..??

              By the way, I took a long route to another tyre shoppe for the Sirac, Unfortunately it isnt available yet, and the guys say they dont know when the next stock comes... It was 2900INR when it was sold here last time.....

                AFAIK the diagnostic tool isn't sold off the shelf to end users! Even if it were sold it would be pretty expensive.

                If you see a Sirac being sold, just post in this thread. If I have not gotten a Sirac by then, I will ride down to Calicut that weekend

                  After the MH ride I had to change my Sirac too.. on unavailability kept the options open for other 120/80 profiles too...

                    But , I'm thinking still,, is there any way I can get that tool... Can I hire it from the svc from a couple of days..??

                      Need INFO: the gear ratios

                      Brothers...i have googled for it, but somehow couldn't find the right data. I was looking for the gear ratios for the DTS-Fi model...For R15, the Yamaha website has clearly specified these details, but for our bike surprisingly there's nothing in any site. If anyone knows the gear-ratio values, kindly post them here.

                        Hi Guys had a question to ask you guys . Can the tail lamp of the pulsar 135LS be put on the pulsar 220 ??? wanted to know if anybody has tried it or thought abt it ??

                          That's why I have written letter to General Manager,Bajaj Auto Pune for Service manual & Dignostic tool . I have cleared him that I am ready to pay appripriate price for it.
                          As per my info price of dignostic tool is around Rs.9000/-

                          Let's see how Bajaj gives response on my letter.

                              Even if you guys get the diagnostic tool you will need a CO testing machine to tune the bike! Max you can do is check which sensor is in ON state, adjust idling etc, make AFR rich/lean!

                              Looks like the P220 Fi's are a dying breed now Not much problems being posted

                              Here's a recent pic of bike just to liven up the thread a bit







                              Things needed to be done on my bike :-

                              1. New Rear Tyre - Sirac - Will change immediately
                              2. New Front Tyre - PSD - Need a change in 2-3K kms
                              3. New Silencer - This one has lasted 25K Kms, too many times welded it and fixed it. Now it just does not hold, time to get a new one. Damn thing costs 9K.
                              4. Vibes - Clutch needs to be opened and looked at, there is a lot of buzzing from the handle bars and pegs at high speeds
