Better change the Air Filter if you haven't changed it recently.

Clean your filter and if it still shows up then your sensor is dirty.

You'll have to take it to PBK to clean the sensor, its a slightly lengthy process to clean the sensor.

Typically the air filter needs to be replaced every 10K kms, and a little earlier if your riding conditions are a little too dusty!

If your filter is 18K kms old then its better if you change it right away.

          • hey i have a question.one of my friend is selling his 220 dts-fi.i heard about so many niggles faced by the fi owners.is it worth going for that bike?
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
            #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

You only said that there are niggles right? then why do you want to go for bike with niggles?

Well i would say a price of 30 to 35k for a 2007 model feels correct. I don't expect more than that if i sell.
About the niggles, he he... mine has had its fair share of niggles. If you can live with a few extra trips to the svc then it is an excellent bike. If you want a "no problemo" kinda bike, better look at other options(unless you have some idea about the background of the bike)

If i remember correctly, the 2008 versions were a bit better than the 2007 versions when it came to niggles.
40k seems like a fair price to me if the bike is well maintained and hasn't run too much(check service records if the seller has any - you will know how frequently he has changed consumables)
Do check if anything needs replacement in the next few months (tyres, clutch, disc plate) apart from regular checks.

Yup - Religiously - for the Fi version.
Infact, avoid local mechanics entirely if possible unless its just a basic fix.

P.S: If you have any other questions, consolidate and then people can answer it in entirety.

A few special moments of my bike...

                              P220 Fi \m/

PS: Got the Pirelli Sport Demon front and its absolutely kickass. Last weekend on a ride there was one raised bump in the road where I had a Isle of Man TT moment with the bike flying over the bump and only the rear wheel on the ground at some 100 kmph.. When the front landed, the grip from the PSD was so immense that bike corrected its line immediately!
