@Psr sir... As u said my stock setting was 1k idlle and 1.3k hot.. but i changed that 2day morning... anyways will try you'r setting tomorow and post the results.... And sir pls respond to my earlier post regarding oil change.. thanks in advance,,Motorcycling Experience:

Regarding oil.... Use only 20W40 MINERAL OILS confirming to JASO MA2 specification...Synthetic oil is not warranted for ZMA and if you wish to use it ,...use it after the bike had completed at least 6K Kms.
Mineral and Semi synthetic will be more than adequate for the ZMA engine.
Using thinner oils like 10W30 as recommended by HH leads to early loss of oil quality and poor gear shifts and vibrations,...and engine will also run hotter.
Gulf Pride 4 T plus, Motul 3000 series, Shell AX ,and Valvoline 4T are all non synthetic....and are priced around 200/- to 240/- per liter..
Look on the oil container ...the type of oil whether it is mineral or SS or Synthetic will be mentioned.
Also look for JASO MA2.which is more important.When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Starting Problem!
Hey Guys,..
I have been facing a problem lately with my Zma,.. Not sure whats causing it.Everyday when i start the bike for the first time... it will not start for the first time,.. it takes atleast 5 kicks even using choke wont help,.. and even if it starts as soon as the throttle is increased above 1k rpm,.. the engine shuts off,.i have to try for a long time by changing the fuel knob to reserve and then it starts.what can be causing this????
odo reading is 4k due for servicing at 5k.

1. Quality fuel
2. Airlock - Check the fuel channel thoroughly
You'll need to wait for sometime before engine sets in to get deep bass sound. Sometime it take few thousands kms and for some it just the way run-in done. I would say my bike which is run 700kms, the engine is kind of set now hearing some deep bass when the throttle is closed during the ride. I would request you to not to worry much with regards to exhaust note. This is not RX/shogun. So chill. Urgent Help!!!!

Sir need your help
, An Xbhpian, DJ86 aka Darshan needs urgent help on his karizma.I am posting this on behalf of him.He is in office now.Now the problem is he is getting knocking or tappet sound from his engine,the bike is only 6 months old and when checked it with the SVC,they said its completely normal. So now,i had included two recordings of engine sound,kindly hear this and give me a solution to solve this problem.

exactly the same problem i experienced after one month. That happened abt 3 times. Dont know what the actual reason is. Make sure that you have enough petrol above reserve.Originally posted by sagargowda View PostHey Guys,..

Your AFR is set very lean, or you have contaminated fuel...either bad fuel or water in fuel...For AFR setting the stock setting is 4 turns ANTI CLOCK WISE after GENTLY turning the AFR screw clockwise till it stops.If problem still persists turn half a turn more anti clockwise till the problem goes away.Originally posted by sagargowda View PostHey Guys,..

I had this problem and so first set the AFR to stock as mentioned above, then I opened the carburettor and took out the slide.I noticed that there was a black coating on the slide and it wasn't moving freely in the chamber.So with 'O' emery gently rubbed the black coating off the slide, and found that the slide was able to move freely...further I had drilled a second small hole in the slide at the bottom ,...opposite to the one that already exists...This gives a better slide lift response, and off the block start is no problem now. and acceleration is very good compared to stock.......................Part marked 15 is the slide.Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostSir actually,Mine was at 1.3k before,Sometimes it cutoff during traffic on sudden acceleration,so changed it to 1.4 on cold and 1.5k on hot.

now a days after trips,say 30 or 40 kms its smells like LPG bike. smells of lpg and petrol,Is it running too rich?

Aneesh I heard the sound and it sounds more like a tappet noise.There seems to be much play in the tappet adjustment, and the SVC will say it is ok because for adjusting it they should have proper feeler guage etc., and in a Karizma it is very difficult to adjust. If you see your own ZMA the tappet door nut facing the front wheel is easily accessible, this is for the exhaust valve . The one for the inlet valve sits right under the petrol tank and even if you remove the tank and try to access it the air valve tubes and chassis will come in the way. So the SVC will always say it is ok and not a problem....but insist on the job to be done or complain to HH about the bad sound from engine, and the SVC will be asked to do it for you.Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View Post@ psr

You have bad petrol...do you park the bike for long times with petrol and then ride it ?
