Your clutch set up needs adjustment...When you pull the clutch lever you should have only 2 to 3 MM of Free Play...More than this will not disengage clutch fully and you will be trying to shift at partial clutch...adjust play by tightening the nut of the clutch cable holder....on the engine case..Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostWhen Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Same with my Hunk. Problem is, say, u are riding in 5th @ 50. Due to traffic, you slowed down to 15 a bit suddenly, holding the clutch. Now to move off, u hav to come down to 2nd. Now that won't happen. The gear lever would be moving freely. To effectively downshift, the clutch need to be released and re-applied, which would cause engine stalling on the middle of the road.Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostToo much activity here these. Good to see that.
I am having downshift issues with the gears on my Karizma. When the need to downshift arises due to traffic, it fails do so when in standstill position. I will have to kinda push the bike a bit to do the same. Not sure what the issue is.
Reported this during Ist service, they did something to the gearbox, and gears are smother now, but problem still persists.MOTORCYCLING IS AS MUCH ART AS IT IS SCIENCE

WOW....that's pretty embarrassing. Tell SVC to lower the shift lever about a quarter inch. may be that will do the trick.

Will do that.Originally posted by psr View PostYour clutch set up needs adjustment...When you pull the clutch lever you should have only 2 to 3 MM of Free Play...More than this will not disengage clutch fully and you will be trying to shift at partial clutch...adjust play by tightening the nut of the clutch cable holder....on the engine case..
But 2-3mm? A picture in the user's manual shows 10-20mm above the clutch adjustment info, what does that indicate?

If you have 20mm play that is about an inchOriginally posted by harishsangwan View PostWill do that.

Then the clutch will never fully disengage..have only 5mm at max, no more...After I adjusted my clutch to 5mm play I get decent shifting of gears.

And I am visiting SVC soon for the same thing you said. Need to lower both brake and gear levers. Am getting my ankles sick.

You'll need to wait for sometime before engine sets in to get deep bass sound. Sometime it take few thousands kms and for some it just the way run-in done. I would say my bike which is run 700kms, the engine is kind of set now hearing some deep bass when the throttle is closed during the ride. I would request you to not to worry much with regards to exhaust note. This is not RX/shogun. So chill. Your above issue is matter of concern and not the exhaust note my friend.

Thanks for the quick reply. Will check the fuel line and make sure i get quality fuel and revert back. and regarding the exhaust noise i will wait to see for improvement

I had a total of 5 lts when this happened and regardless of the amount of fuel the same problem persistsOriginally posted by Jerrin View Postexactly the same problem i experienced after one month. That happened abt 3 times. Dont know what the actual reason is. Make sure that you have enough petrol above reserve.

Thank You for all the help sir will make sure i get quality fuel and get the AFR screw checked and adjustedOriginally posted by psr View PostYour AFR is set very lean, or you have contaminated fuel...either bad fuel or water in fuel...For AFR setting the stock setting is 4 turns ANTI CLOCK WISE after GENTLY turning the AFR screw clockwise till it stops. If problem still persists turn half a turn more anti clockwise till the problem goes away.
